My grandma made them often, and the joy in the house when she did was unmistakable.

The holidays bring beauty, connection, and yes, a little extra on the nervous system and the digestive system too ✨
Feeling puffy, tired, or just “off” in December is not a personal failure. It is simply physiology. More sugar, more stress, less sleep, and richer foods naturally create more inflammation in the body.

Instead of restriction, I always recommend gentle support.
- Warm or hot water with lemon or lime.
- Veggies first whenever you can.
- Chlorophyll for hydration and cleansing.
- Herbs taken consistently. And on celebration days, yes, even doubling your colon herbs so your body can move things through comfortably.
- Earlier nights when possible, or even a few minutes of quiet breathing.

When inflammation settles, everything feels easier. Digestion improves. Energy lifts. Moods stabilize. Even how our clothes fit begins to change 💚

The holidays are meant for joy, connection, and beautiful moments around the table.

But for so many, they also come with pressure. To do it all. Eat it all. Hold it all together.

I want to gently remind you, balance does not come from perfection. It comes from intention, consistency, and listening to your body, especially during a busy season.

This time of year, I focus on simple things that truly make a difference.
1. Starting my day with intention.
2. Keeping my non negotiables steady.
3. Having smart snacks on hand.
4. Choosing only the foods I truly love.
5. And supporting digestion and calm along the way.

These small choices help me enjoy every gathering without the guilt or the spiral. Because the holidays are not a test. They are a season to savour, body, mind, and spirit.

Be gentle with yourself.
Choose what nourishes you.

December is not the month for complicated plans. It is the month to simplify, warm, and nourish wisely. ❄️🍲

This is why I love the idea of the 3-Dinner Week. Choose three easy, cozy meals and let them gently repeat. That is enough. Truly.

When the body receives steady, simple nourishment, the nervous system softens, digestion steadies, and energy becomes more reliable. Warm soups, roasted vegetables, simple proteins, gentle pastas, nothing heavy, nothing overwhelming. Just food that supports you instead of draining you.

Sometimes the most healing choice is not adding more effort, but removing the pressure. Less planning creates more peace. Repeating meals gives the body consistency. And simplicity is often where the deepest nourishment lives.

Estrogen isn’t the enemy, and it’s not the hero either.

We often hear that estrogen keeps us youthful, energized, and vibrant, and it does play a beautiful role in that symphony. But the truth is, no single hormone can carry the entire melody of your wellbeing.

Our hormones perform together, like instruments in a finely tuned orchestra. When estrogen, progesterone, thyroid, adrenals, and even the gut and liver are in sync, your body feels grounded, clear, and radiant. When they are out of tune, symptoms like fatigue, mood swings, and hot flashes start to take the stage.

The good news is that your body already knows how to recalibrate. It simply needs the right support. By nourishing your glands, calming your adrenals, and keeping detox pathways open, you can restore balance naturally and rediscover your steady rhythm again.

When the body has been struggling for years, even the smallest shift can feel like hope returning.

This client’s journey is a beautiful reminder that gentle, consistent support can transform even the most stubborn challenges.

She came to me with painful hemorrhoids, daily nausea, burping after meals, and bowel movements that left her unable to walk without pain. Nothing had helped her until we focused on supporting the colon and circulation naturally.

If your gut is not happy, your mind cannot be either 💚

Your gut and brain are always in conversation through the vagus nerve, a communication line that starts in the brainstem and travels through the neck, lungs, heart and deep into the digestive system. About two thirds of the messages actually travel from the gut to the brain, which means your emotional and mental wellbeing are shaped by what happens in your digestive tract.

So when the gut slows down, you might feel foggy, anxious, irritable, tired or just “off.” You are not imagining it. Research now shows that even small changes in gut bacteria can influence mood, stress and how we process emotions 🧠💚

And yes, going once a day is “fine,” but unless it is an “award winning BM,” it is often not enough to keep the gut brain highway clear. Ideally, your body should be eliminating at least twice per day to keep that vagus nerve communication flowing without traffic 🚗✨
