Erin Mills Lodge In 2016, Schlegel Villages welcomed the team members and residents of Erin Mills Lodge in Mississauga to the broader organization.

There has always been a sense of family in this close-knit home, and we’re proud that this connectedness carries on today. Erin Mills Lodge is an 86 bed Long Term Care home located on Dundas Street by Erin Mills Parkway.

Today we went in our annual trip to one of our favourite places, Springridge Farm!

It was a beautiful day to pick pumpkins and enjoy lunch and cider outside. We love the accessibility of the farm with paved walkways. We ran into quite a few people from other long-term term care and retirement homes as well.

Their lunch and baked goods are always delicious. And the hospitality from everyone who works at Springridge always makes us feel so welcome.

What are you thankful for this Thanksgiving?

Residents, families, and team members had a great weekend together. We filled in our thankful trees, made a fall garland, and enjoyed pur Thanksgiving High Tea Social.

We are also thankful for the beautiful weather in October so far.

To say we had fun today would be an understatement!

Hazel Lane residents headed to Erindale Park for a delicious picnic lunch prepared by our lovely food service manager, Madelaine.

The weather was perfect, we played some games, went for a nice walk, had ice cream and topped it off with an impromptu karaoke session with Joao's family who came with a speaker and two microphones! We had people walking by dancing and singing a long as well. Many laughs and dances shared.

Timeless Recipes, Endless Stories.
Pursuit of Passions 2025

Over the last month and a half, we have been busy collecting and trialing our residents beloved recipes and learning their stories behind them. After two full days of cooking 9 recipes, yesterday we came together as a village and had a taste testing. Residents, family, and team members voted for their favourite dish under three categories. The winning recipes and story will be entered in for the Schlegel Villages cookbook that will be available for purchase in the fall this year.

A BIG shout out and thank you to our host, Erindale Secondary School for letting us host our Green Bench Initiative today.

A number of students and teachers had the opportunity to take a seat and have genuine conversations with three of our residents, Nirmala, Jenny and Sharon, all who shared their wisdom, jokes, and stories. Conversations flowed easily, which lead to laughter, "wow" moments, questions from residents about grad and post secondary school topped with some advice when university gets stressful, and the uncertainty of moving to a new place far from home, seemed to put one student who will be attending Dalhousie University-Halifax in the fall at ease.

We have been invited back for the 2025/2026 school year and plan to go back long before next June.

Thank you Erindale Students, and staff for having us. Amy from support office for supporting today, our three amazing residents and Tammy for being our contact person at E.S.S to help get today set up. As well as their kitchen team for supplying fresh baked cookies and water for us.

We celebrated Multicultural Day with a ton of delicious food, music, dance, art, and history from 10 different countries today! We are stuffed!

Residents performed dances for the first time and some teams have been working on performances for a few months and they were beautifully performed.

Seeing everyone work together, share their cultures and pull everyone to dance floor for hours of endless fun made the day perfect. Thank you to everyone who participated today. You truly made today special for everyone!

Multicultural Day 2025 is well under way.

This giant group of residents, team and families have worked so hard over the last few months prepping for today! Cooking for days, practicing dances, planning their tables, decorations and music. We are so big we had to post this photo in two.
