Family Services of Peel was established in 1971 as a non-profit, charitable organization (Business/Registration #10737 6279 RR0001) to provide family and community support services for the people of Peel. Sensitive to cultural and social diversity, Family Services of Peel is a community-based agency that works to strengthen individuals and families through guidance, coaching, mentoring, education and support, whether in groups, family meetings or one-to-one sessions. As the "front door" to the agency, the Intake Department offers callers an immediate and supportive intake process for programs at Family Services of Peel that are best suited to them. Our Developmental Services programs support adults with developmental disabilities to live independently, stay connected, and thrive in the community.

Adult Protective Services (APS) helps individuals develop and implement personalized support plans, offers virtual drop-in groups, and connects clients to community resources.

Supported Independent Living (SIL) provides support with daily living skills, budgeting, parenting, and social engagement through community events like summer picnics and holiday lunches.

Our Walk-In Counselling services are available for individuals, couples, and families seeking support with life’s challenges.

🗓 Wednesdays: 12:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
🗓 Saturdays: 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
(Except statutory holidays)

Support is available for concerns such as stress, parenting issues, relationship conflict, job loss, illness, grief, and more.

📣 YESS Program – Cohort 5 Applications Now Open

Family Services of Peel is pleased to announce the launch of YESS Program Cohort 5, beginning January 20, 2026.

This 9-week employment initiative supports youth aged 15–30 by providing job-ready skills training and access to quality employment opportunities in Information Technology and Trades.

We also invite employer partners to collaborate by offering five-week placement opportunities for trained job-ready youth.
