Visited a member of my Tune up Team 👉🏽👉🏽Dr. G. Mais, Chiropractor ( Ig: .mais_dc ) this weekend for a full Maintenance workup.

Had to . Shout out to colleague and fellow Chiro reminded us today that Our every day lives may not seem physically demanding but realizing that we need to take note of the little micro- aggressions we inflict on ourselves, coupled with the consistent but unnoticed longer periods of Inactivity

Gentle reminder to Move our bodies with a walk, a little guided stretching, some strength training (yes Even WithoutWeights 💪) to keep us feeling ALIVE.

According to continued research the following points were given as basic recommendations:
1. 🔹️Ultimate Exercise🔹️ 👉👉DANCE - mental and physical demand
💃💃 -
My friends at Araguacu Latin Dance Company know the importance and make sure it's a sweaty brain workout at every class!

2. HITT- high intensity interval training
3. High intensity Aerobic workouts -i.e
Squash 🎾, also Hiking, running on trails vs treadmill

Note: you can also incorporate yoga, tai chi and the other slower moving activities to balance the stress in the joints or if you have injuries in process.

👨‍🏫Points of Interest👩‍🏫
🔹️Exercise helps to reduce inflammation and boost immune system response
🔹️Social Connection -face to face interactions are important for the brain
🔹️Versions of intermittent fasting help stress the body in a non toxic way
🔹️Healthy sexual activity

*Fitness is a mindset *

As a human we have moments when we want to improve ourselves through fitness But then get crippled by the intimidation or low motivation to exercise. Negative self thoughts can flood our brains and talk us out of it.

🔹️Helpful tool: Get a friend or a person of good energy to join you and that will get you motivated and feel accountable like my friend . It makes you push harder.
♦️Result: you will never regret having showed up and broken a sweat.

As a Chiropractor, I'm constantly making sure to strength train because it provides amazing benefits and keeps me in good health to service my clients.
