Visits with my amazing family, seeing the leaves while my dahlia hung on for one last bloom, getting Isabelle ready for sale after almost 9 years together, to coming across a florist in Grand Rapids making gorgeous centrepieces for a fall wedding (he was too shy to smile for the pic).

Why is this the scariest season?

Because you are still walking around with that bloat pumpkin you told yourself you’d address at the beginning of the year.

What are you waiting for? If it’s a written invitation, consider this it.

Because everyone is biologically different and come to me for different reasons, every body responds differently and feels differently.
I could say ‘people lose weight’! ‘skin issues disappear’! ‘You magically win the lottery and become and kinder, gentler person!’...
all of which could be true, but probably isn’t. 😆

Some of my clients have reported that they have lost weight. Some of them have had great success with skin improvements (I’m one of them - I used to have terrible Rosacea). Some people may become kinder and gentler, because they’re not all crabby and constipated and in pain and stinky gassy all the time. That’s them. What you’ll feel may be different.

I can say that my clients usually report that they feel lighter after a session - some of that is waste, and some of it may be emotional baggage that they’ve let go of. They typically leave happy, which fills me with no end of gratitude.
It’s not a silver bullet - it’s best used in conjunction with other changes; more water (and more slowly!), better chewing and gut healing, to name just a few.

What it definitely does do is support your other organs in working better. If they don’t constantly have to refilter toxins, they can get on with making you look and feel great! Anyone that tells you that any one modality will change your life is either trying to sell you something, or I need their contact info ASAP!! 😜

Today I wake up another year older - still feeling 32, but I don’t think I can pass for that anymore.

Life is a journey, and the last few years have been a hell of one. Luckily, I get to feed my soul with amazing friends, colleagues, clients and lots and lots and lots of dogs. I’d say ‘here’s to the next 58’, but I think I’d like to aim for an amazing 25 or so.

Grateful for all of you who make up the pieces of this wonderful trip.

In fact, by removing toxins and ‘bad bacteria’, you’ll create more space and a healthier environment for ‘good bacteria’. Your overall health depends on the health of your internal organs, and in turn the health of those organs depends on their efficiency. Proper nutrition and exercise impact this, but it’s not necessarily enough to offset the contamination we’re exposed to every day–pesticides in the soil, preservatives in our food, toxins in the air, products we use on our skin and medications that we take…all these things that we absorb into our body.

One of the reasons our body stores toxins is a thing called chemical confusion; our bodies were created before man-made chemicals came along, and many times they just don’t know how to deal with and excrete them. Because of this, we end up storing them throughout our bodies, but primarily in the liver and the colon. It can form mucoid plaque…it’s like a layer of wallpaper paste in your colon that gets thicker and thicker and traps food and f***l matter with it.

While our bodies do a pretty good job of cleaning themselves, they can use some help every once in a while. Think about your mouth, which is where your digestion starts (after your brain, of course). You brush your teeth every day, I hope, but food still gets trapped in the nooks and crannies in it.
Your colon is the same. It’s not shaped like a garden hose, all smooth on the inside. It’s a series of pouches, called haustra. We have bowel movements every day and they go down the middle of the colon, but things get caught on in these little haustra because the muscle movement (peristalsis) isn’t strong enough to dislodge what’s been left behind. When unprocessed chemicals, mucous and f***l matter stick to the walls in those pouches, it’s harder for the ‘wave’ motion of peristalsis to take place and the colon becomes more and more sluggish, which can stretch our colon from the 2 ½ inches it should be, to sometimes 6 inches!

Our Story

They say that stress is one of the biggest contributing factors to your health spiraling out of control, so after losing three grandparents to cancer and struggling for many years with my own health issues, I began incorporating alternative and holistic healing practices in my own life and became certified as a Colon Hydrotherapist in 2008. In addition to my Colon Hydrotherapy Certification, I also have my Level II Reiki and am working toward my Natural Nutrition Certification with CSNN.

My method of working with my clients stresses putting them at ease in what some might consider an awkward situation, and my open heart and gentle sense of humour creates a safe place for you to relax, release and get back to the best version of yourself.
