Off she goes 🌏 This is a love note to as we wish her farewell.

Hayley is off to New Zealand for Teachers College, and we are going to miss her deeply. She is not only a truly special human, someone Jon and I have shared many moments with both in the studio and out on the water paddling, but a teacher who poured her whole heart into every class and every moment she spent at QB.

As the very first graduate of our Mat Pilates Teacher Training, Hayley holds a special place in our community. We are so grateful for the time we had with her.

Thank you, Hayley, for always giving 100 percent. For your precise corrections, your calm yet motivating presence, and the care you brought to your students. Watching your groups grow stronger week after week was a clear reflection of not just a great trainer, but a thoughtful coach and teacher who is deeply invested in the learning, growth, and well-being of her students.

So much love to you, Hayley. We are going to miss you more than we can say.

Annnnnd just like that we are all back to regular scheduled programming. Come on over and shrug off the holiday sleepies. just slayed her first non-apprentice Pilates class at 9:30 this morning. Way to go Ella 🙌 Look for Ella's classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 9:30 AM.

Move with us through the holidays! 🎄

We want to start by saying a heartfelt thank you to everyone who opened their closets and contributed to the QB Christmas Clothing Drive. Your generosity truly blew us away.

Thanks to you, we delivered four overflowing shopping carts of clothing to The Open Door Mississauga. Seeing the collective impact of our community was incredibly meaningful, and we are so grateful to be surrounded by people who show up with such care and generosity.

As we move into the holiday season, we will be running a reduced and extra fun holiday schedule. Be sure to check out our special edition classes on December 31, and come move and groove with our newest team members on December 27 and December 30. And for old times’ sake, Elly will be subbing on December 29, so be sure to grab a spot if you have missed taking class with her.

As the year comes to a close, we want to thank you for being part of such a strong and supportive community. We wish you a holiday season filled with treats, traditions, and plenty of rest.

We cannot wait to see all that we accomplish together in 2026 🙌

QB Christmas Clothing Drive🎄Cozy Clothes Needed

When: Drop off your donations at the studio before December 18th at 11 AM

This winter, we’re inviting our community to come together and make a difference by donating warm, gently used winter clothing. We’re partnering with The Open Door, a frontline outreach ministry that has supported the Mississauga community since 1974.

Helping families during the holiday season can create a significant impact. Your contributions can bring warmth and hope to those in need.

The Open Door is accepting:

- Winter coats
- Boots
- Sweaters
- Mittens
- Hoodies
- Pants
- Pyjamas
- Everyday clothing

They also welcome:

- Children’s books
- Small household items
- New personal hygiene products (deodorant, pads, diapers)
- Winter essentials like blankets and thermal wear, especially in large and extra-large sizes.

If you’re unable to donate physical items, please consider making a monetary contribution, we are proving donation links in our newsletters. Your support will help families in our community stay warm this winter.

We are just over one month away from our QB Mat Pilates Teacher Training!

This program is one of the most comprehensive Mat Pilates trainings out there. We teach you everything you need to know to become a true force in the Pilates community. Our goal is to create leaders, thinkers and confident instructors who can walk into any room and teach a thoughtful, effective mixed-level class. We do not follow trends. We stick with what works.

With over 15 years of experience, a professional dance background, two comprehensive teacher training certifications and countless teaching hours in gyms, homes, boutique studios and everything in between, I have truly seen it all.

If you want to build the strongest foundation for your Pilates career, I cannot recommend our program enough. Of course, I am biased, so here is what Mary from our Fall 2025 cohort has to say:

Most teacher training programs teach you how to deliver a basic Pilates workout with a few modifications. They do not teach you how to communicate with real humans, think critically, plan intelligently or build a sustainable business. We teach people how to teach.

There’s something really special happening at QB right now, and it’s not just the cozy restorative classes with live music, the Chilly Moves Challenge, or the general good vibes.

We’re thrilled to introduce our four QB Apprentices!

These Teacher Trainees completed their certification with us this Fall. You may have seen them in class or quietly observing next to the monstera. Becoming a Pilates instructor takes dedication. They’ve thoroughly studied the Pilates method, anatomy, physiology, programming for effectiveness and fun, injuries and special considerations, and everything in between.

On top of that, they are learning how to lead a group and create energizing, enjoyable classes.

All four Apprentices are community members just like you:
Prianka – a dedicated client since July 2022, nearly 400 classes and many of those she was pregnant, oh yeah.
Ella – joined in January 2023, also with nearly 400 classes.
Anna – part of QB since before we had a studio, test-driving the On-Demand platform, 500+ classes under her belt, and she also helps us on our busiest studio days.
Michelle – started in 2024, has almost 100 classes, and is already making her mark.

If you ask us, there is no better crew to learn from. As part of their apprenticeship, they will be teaching community classes this December. Come support them and see their skills in action.

Week 3 is already here, and the finish line is in sight! This week is about tuning in, trusting your body, and letting movement feel playful and free.

This Week’s Focus: Tune In, Don’t Think, Just Flow

You’ve spent the past two weeks rebuilding your foundation, building strength, and carrying that momentum forward. Now your body knows the patterns, the cues, the effort levels. With that awareness comes a new sense of control, confidence, and ease. This is the week to celebrate yourself and your progress. Each lightbulb moment in class, each time you said, “WOW, I just did that”, pays off in dividends. It all adds up.

When we were reflecting on this week’s theme, we were inspired by the heightened sensations that come with a higher frequency in practice. You can feel your tendencies in movement and adjust them with intention, and that allows you to step into a whole new level of agency. You are not just doing the workout, you are fully present in it.

Mantra for the week: Celebrate yourself, move with joy, and finish the year with quiet confidence.

As we roll into the final stretch of 2025, we want to infuse your classes with variety, dynamic sequences, and joyful movement. This week is about finishing strong, moving with energy, and embracing the fun and freedom of your body. Way to go, everyone!

Oh, and what about those prizes? We will be announcing the winners on Saturday, Dec 6th, after the afternoon studio sessions are wrapped up. Keep your eyes on your inbox!

Solo entries will complete 12 classes in 3-weeks - 4 classes per week.

A huge and heartfelt congratulations to our very first cohort of QB Mat Pilates Teacher Training! 🕺🎉👏

Over the past six weeks, each of you has shown dedication, curiosity, and so much heart. It has been an intense and inspiring journey filled with learning, growth, and laughter. We are incredibly proud of you and cannot wait to see the impact you’ll make as teachers.

Our teacher trainees are now moving on to the next steps: practicing teaching, working on their case studies, and preparing for their exams. If you see them observing classes at QB, give them a big smile and congratulate them on all the hard work they’ve done.

Learning as an adult is an amazing experience that can bring new energy, perspective, and inspiration into your life.

Due to popular demand, we’re sneaking in one last Beginner’s workshop before the end of the year 🕺

If you’ve been sitting on the fence, now’s your chance to snag one of the last spots. We won’t run this workshop again until the new year, so it’s your last chance to dive in now. Plus, you’ll receive four online at-home workouts and an option to continue with an intro offer to transition into group classes after the workshop.

This workshop is designed with beginners in mind—no prior experience needed. We’ll break down the basics, focus on proper form, and give you a solid foundation in a supportive, welcoming environment. It’s a great way to build confidence and get started with a solid movement practice.

Whether you’re a newbie or already attending classes with us, we love this workshop for these reasons:

⇨ Understand nuances in positions and learn how to make exercises work for YOU. You’ll be able to answer questions like, “Where should I be feeling this?” and “Am I doing this right?”

⇨ Want to get stronger? Learn what sensations and metrics to look for in our classes to ensure you’re challenging yourself enough to build strength.

⇨ Hate cardio? We’ll help you learn to pace yourself in our cardio-based classes, including how to eliminate jumping while still getting that heart pumping.

⇨ Need accountability? This workshop will help you commit to at least one workout per week for the next month and transition you into a routine that makes sense for you after that.
