So I am attempting something that I could very well fail at. I am looking to add 5 inches+ on my vertical jump and document my workouts and progress. The video below is my Day 1 Workout. I am hoping that documenting my training could be educational for both coaches and athletes. It will also help hold me accountable.
Back in the glory days (10 years ago) when I was part of our Beach Volleyball National team (Team Canada) I was an elite level jumper. My vertical was at 45 inches. But now I am down to around 38 to 40 inches.
My overall physicality took a major hit once business’s including my gym had to shut down due to COVID-19. The stress and lack of training caused me to lose weight, a significant amount of strength, and this all lead me to a dissappointing vertical jump.
Anyways, I hope this is educational, helpful, or at least entertaining.
