Dear Friends,
We are incredibly grateful for your presence and participation in our recent Food Drive event. Your support and generosity have made a significant impact, and we could not have achieved this success without you.
A heartfelt thank you goes to Seven Estates, Sabir Sajid Memorial Society of Canada and especially the Church Of Pentecost Canada Inc. for their openness to the idea and willingness to provide us with the space to hold our sorting and packing activity were. We truly appreciate our partners for their collaboration and kindness which have been a cornerstone of this event’s success.
The food drive was not just an event; it was a celebration of the spirit of giving and sharing, especially during this festive season. Christmas is a time when we reflect on the true meaning of giving — a gesture that goes beyond material gifts. It’s about extending our hands and hearts to those in need, spreading love and joy to our community.
To all the participants (online and in-person), thank you for dedicating your time and energy to join us. Your involvement exemplified the essence of community spirit and compassion. Every contribution, whether big or small, has played a part in enriching the lives of those we aim to support.

National Seniors Day was celebrated on October 1st. It is also the United Nations' International Day of Older Persons. In addition to this national day of recognition, City of Brampton – Your Local Government offer their own specific seniors' event, Oktoberfest held on October 2nd 2025 at the Bob Callahan Flower City Seniors Recreation Centre. Ability Home Care Services Inc. were the official sponsor for this year. It was a real treat to connect with the Senior's at this beautiful event with delicious food and some great music. Well done Brampton.

Oktoberfest Dinner and Dance​
Individuals 55+ are invited to celebrate Oktoberfest at Bob Callahan Flower City Seniors Centre on Thursday, October 2nd 2025

Oom Pah Pah! Guests will feast on a delicious meal of German favourites and then join in as they kick up their heels and dance a combination of traditional German tunes with some current music mixed in by a DJ.

Join us and our community partners on Friday November 7th, 2025 at The Grand Victorian Convention Centre in support of food and ‘period’ equity for the homeless women. “No woman should have to choose between Food and Pads”
