It’s the little things that can bring so much joy 💛

Yesterday, we celebrated our wonderful resident Sharon’s birthday! Sharon is always so kind and courteous to everyone around her. She takes pride in keeping our residence tidy, and even our mailman looks forward to delivering her mail because of her warm smile.

To make her day extra special, we surprised her with her favorite meal from Burger King for dinner 🎉 Sharon's reaction "Best Birthday Ever!"

All bets were on and it was off to the races! 🏇🎉

In honour of the Kentucky Derby, residents celebrated in style with a fabulous Derby Day! From creating stunning hats 👒✨ to cheering anplaying horse races 🐎, the day was full of fun, laughter, and friendly competition.

And of course, no Derby celebration would be complete without refreshing Mint Mule Mocktails 🍹🌿 — the perfect cheers to a memorable day! 🥂

How wonderful it is to collaborate with fellow Chartwells communities, bringing residents together to connect, laugh, and enjoy each other’s company.

We had the pleasure of attending a Musical Bingo Mingle🎵 at Martha’s Landing in Burlington, alongside Regency, for a fun-filled afternoon of music, laughter, and great energy. Residents and managers alike joined in, singing, strutting, and truly embracing the spirit of the game during this unique bingo experience!

A heartfelt thank you to Martha’s Landing for hosting such a memorable event.

We were honoured last week to host an appreciation banquet for the Trillium Health Partners volunteers from Credit Valley Hospital.

What better way to say thank you for their dedicated work supporting patients, care and compassion that some of our residents have had the privilege to experience firsthand.

It was especially meaningful to see one of our own volunteers, Olga, among the attendees. Olga generously gives her time in our residence by leading the rosary and assisting with our weekly Mass. She also makes a point to visit our residents when they are in hospital or in need within their suites. Her kindness truly makes a difference.

A heartfelt thank you to our culinary team for preparing an amazing lunch for our guests, and to the entire team who contributed to making this event such a great success.

Today we celebrated a Port of Call to Australia in honour of our Sales Consultant, Bianca, who is originally from Australia! 🇦🇺

Residents enjoyed a “Walkabout Down Under” with an interactive tour through our courtyard, featuring exotic animals and fascinating facts about each one. Along the way, they encountered venomous snakes, spotted dangerous crocodiles, stood tall with kangaroos, and even got up close and personal with a koala.

To top it all off, Heather brought out her didgeridoo and treated everyone to a special performance. Crikey! what a fantastic adventure! Such a fun-filled day for everyone! 🐨🦘

Today, our residents enjoyed a fun “Garden Queen” themed photoshoot, and what a joyful experience it was!

Each resident had the chance to dress up, feel special, and embrace their inner royalty. From elegant poses to the perfect queenly wave 👑, their personalities truly shined through. There were smiles, laughter, and a touch of regal charm in every moment.

It’s amazing how a little creativity can turn into such a memorable experience. Our residents looked absolutely beautiful, and even more importantly, they felt it too.

And as always… Joy is ageless. 💖

Residents got a special treat today! 🍕✨

Our team, along with Maintenance Manager Norman, made the day extra special with a surprise delivery of fresh, hot Domino’s pizza straight to each resident’s door. Smiles, gratitude, and the simple joy of sharing a warm meal made this Pizza Day one to remember.

Moments like these remind us that it’s the little things that bring a community together ❤️
