I have been registered as a Designated Assessment Centre (DAC) assessor with the Financial Services Commission of Ontario, and since the elimination of the formal DAC system have continued in the same capacity as an Independent Chiropractic Examiner for a number of assessment companies, both in my practice and at external locations. Specifically, I have conducted medical/rehabilitation DAC assessments, independent direct chiropractic evaluations, file/case/treatment reviews and rebuttal responses. I have had occasion to comment both on the reasonableness and necessity of various forms of active and passive care, disability, pre-existing conditions and their impact on accident related impairments, as well as recommendations for future management of claims. I have been in private practice since 1996 as a chiropractor / acupuncture provider in a multi-disciplinary setting with an emphasis on the assessment and management of chronic pain, neuro-muskuloskeletal conditions and sports injuries; working in conjunction with various health-oriented professionals for optimal patient-centred health care
