Today is World Hearing Day! 🧡
This is an annual event, funded by the World Health Organization (WHO), to raise awareness and promote ear and hearing care. The theme for 2026 is "From communities to classrooms: hearing care for all children".
Help increase public awareness about the importance of ear and hearing care, how we can prevent avoidable childhood hearing loss and ensuring early identification of and care for children with ear or hearing problems.

When activating, please be sure to remove the sticker and expose the battery to air for at least 2 minutes for full activation before inserting it into your Ponto processor.
And remember--do not remove the sticker from the battery until you are ready to activate it for use!

The Sentio™ System (a sound processor and an implant) will compensate for hearing loss, i.e., improve the hearing of patients within the indicated use manifested by:
• Improved ability to hear sounds
• Improved speech intelligibility
For a patient with a unilateral hearing loss, the benefit will primarily be experienced for sounds directed to the fitted/hearing-impaired side. In general, with bone anchored hearing systems, if the patient has symmetrical bone conduction (BC) hearing loss and is bilaterally fitted, the binaural benefits will include the improved ability to localize sounds.
