The flu is not the same as a cold, and it can affect the following people very differently.
• Are 65 or older
• Are pregnant
• Have a chronic condition like asthma, diabetes, heart, lung, or kidney disease
• Have a weakened immune system or cancer
• Live in long-term care
• Are a young child, especially under age 5
• Care for or live with someone who is high risk

If you fall into one of these groups, prevention is especially important. Talk to your Pharmasave pharmacist about the flu shot and everyday ways to protect yourself and others.
