CUBA UPDATE – Transat and Air Canada Vacations POLICIES
Air Transat Vacations has confirmed temporary hotel closures in Cuba due to low occupancy. Guests will be relocated to equal or higher-category resorts to maintain service quality.
Important: These are Air Transat policies currently in place. As other suppliers release details, we’ll share updates as they come in.
Transat Special Flexibility (Winter Season) for bookings with arrival dates February 7 – April 30, 2026, at affected hotels:
✔️ Change travel dates, hotel, or destination with no penalty
✔️ Or cancel and receive a Transat travel credit (issued within 48 hours)
✔️ Credit valid 1 year from original return date and usable on any Transat product

Cayo Santa Maria:
• Valentin perla Blanca
• Sol Cayo Santa Maria
• MELIÁ Buena Vista
Cayo Coco:
• Iberostar Playa Pilar
• Gran Muthu Imperial
Varadero:
• El Patriarca Varadero
Holguin:
• Gran Muthu Ensenada Holguin Cuba
Air Canada Vacations is offering customers with imminent travel plans to Cuba the reassurance and flexibility to change their booking. Customers who have purchased a travel package to Cuba that includes an Air Canada or Air Canada Rouge flight on or before February 5, 2026, for travel dates between February 6 and February 25, 2026, can modify their booking without incurring change fees and rebook for an alternate travel plan.
Customers will have the option to:
1. Change their travel date. To request this option, please call us at 1-877-752-7710 or call your travel agent.
2. Opt for a Future Travel Credit for the full amount, valid for 1 year.
Customers at destination are advised to contact their local Air Canada Vacations Representative for any questions or concerns.
