Happy Wellness Wednesday, everyone! 🌞✨ As busy parents, it’s essential to carve out a few minutes for ourselves each morning.

My favourite 5-minute routine includes taking three deep breaths, which helps ground me for the day ahead. 🌬️💖 I also drink a glass of water before my coffee to kickstart my metabolism and boost my energy. 💧☕ And just a minute of gratitude reflection goes a long way in lifting my spirits! 🌈

Autumn is here, and there's no better way to embrace the season than with a family outing to the pumpkin patch! 🎃🍂 There's something magical about wandering through the rows of vibrant pumpkins, breathing in the crisp air, and sharing laughter with loved ones. These moments not only create lasting memories but also provide the perfect opportunity to bond with our children in nature.

Engaging in outdoor activities helps kids develop a love for the environment while learning about where their food comes from. Picking pumpkins together can spark curiosity and excitement, as children explore different shapes and sizes, and maybe even find the perfect one to carve later! 🥳 Plus, it's a fantastic way to unplug from screens and enjoy quality time together, encouraging meaningful conversations and shared experiences that deepen family connections.

Happy Mindset Monday, everyone! 🌟 As we dive into this beautiful harvest season, let's take a moment to reflect on the importance of reducing food waste and making the most of the bountiful produce around us. There’s something incredibly rewarding about turning what might end up in the trash into delicious, nourishing meals!

One of the easiest ways to start is by drying fresh herbs. 🌿 Not only does this enhance their flavour, but it also allows you to enjoy your garden’s bounty long after the season is over. You can easily sprinkle them into your dishes throughout the winter months. Another fantastic idea is to dice or puree tomatoes and freeze them in batches. These little flavour bombs can become the foundation for your favorite sauces or marinades, saving you time and money! 🍅

Let’s not forget about those pumpkin seeds! When you carve your pumpkins this season, roast those seeds instead of tossing them. They make a crunchy, nutritious snack that’s perfect for topping salads or just munching on as a healthy treat. Lastly, consider using the ends and extra sweet potato slices as a creative alternative to toast. Top them with nut or seed butter and fresh fruit for a delightful breakfast or snack. 🍠✨

It’s easy to get caught up in the latest diet trends and meal plans, but remember, you can’t prioritize your diet without giving equal importance to your sleep and stress levels. 💤💖

Think of it this way: a well-balanced diet fuels our bodies, but without adequate sleep, our bodies can’t fully utilize that fuel. Similarly, if you’re constantly stressed, your body can go into fight-or-flight mode, making it difficult to digest food properly and absorb key nutrients. Treating these aspects of wellness as equals can lead to a more harmonious and effective approach to health. By nurturing your mind and body equally, you can unlock your full potential! 🌈

Easy and affordable beef stroganoff made with a garlic mushroom cream sauce (I substitute with plain Greek yogurt) and is ready in just 30 minutes!

Vegetables that go well in this dish include green beans (pictured here) or bell peppers in addition to mushrooms.

The yogurt is great for getting extra calcium and protein into my little one who doesn’t drink much milk.

I serve this warm over egg noodles but you can swap for another type of pasta, or serve over rice or potatoes instead.
