Assisted Living/Retirement Residence – 3058 Winston Churchill Blvd.,Mississauga The Ivan Franko Long-Term Care Home is located at 767 Royal York Road, in the heart of Etobicoke and is a long-term care facility with on-site nursing. Ivan Franko Homes’ Mississauga residence is located at 3058 Winston Churchill Blvd., serving approximately 80 residents who are independent and do not need 24-hour medical care. In 2013 and 2016, our commitment to the highest quality care standards was recognized by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF International) through our receiving a three-year accreditation, the longest period possible for an initial designation for retirement and care centres.

We are grateful for the opportunity for our CEO, Olya Vovnysh, to participate in a pre-budget discussion with Ontario’s Minister of Finance, the Hon. Peter Bethlenfalvy, representing the long-term care community and the realities faced by not-for-profit homes across the province.

During the discussion, held in the presence of the Hon. Natalia Kusendova-Bashta, MPP Sheref Sabawy, MPP Rudy Cuzzetto, MPP Deepak Anand, and MPP Silvia Gualtieri, Olya spoke about the importance of sustainable long-term care funding — from supporting the development of new LTC homes to investing in the people who provide care every day. She also highlighted the growing pressures of rising operational and food costs, and the need for funding models that better reflect today’s economic realities.

Thoughtful, practical policy decisions are essential to ensuring that seniors receive high-quality care in environments that are safe, dignified, and truly feel like home — now and for generations to come.

We appreciate the opportunity to share the voice of not-for-profit long-term care and to contribute to discussions shaping Ontario’s future.

Yesterday, Ivan Franko Homes Seniors Residence celebrated the Feast of Theophany. The traditional blessing of holy water was led by Fr. J. Buciora, Fr. M. Barna, Fr. I. Dacko, and Fr. W. Dacko, bringing this sacred tradition to our community.
Following the service, our residents gathered for a traditional Holodna Kutia supper. The atmosphere was enriched by residents and staff who shared in the singing of traditional Christmas carols.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to the clergy, residents, and staff whose presence and participation made this celebration truly meaningful.😊
