Ivan Franko Homes are honoured to have attended the Academy-Gala SFUZHO and the SFUZO Conference in Toronto.

It was a truly meaningful and inspiring event that brought together strong, dedicated women and supporters of the Ukrainian community. The evening reflected unity, resilience, and a deep commitment to preserving and strengthening our shared values.

🎶 Classical Music Concert by “Ensemble Vivant” at Ivan Franko Homes in Mississauga

We recently had the pleasure of hosting a beautiful classical music concert by Ensemble Vivant, and it was truly a wonderful experience.

The performance was exceptional, and our residents were very happy and deeply moved by the music. It brought warmth, joy, and a special atmosphere to our home.

We sincerely thank the George C. Hunt Family Foundation for their generous support in making this enriching experience possible.

We are so grateful for moments like these 💙

Mississauga man, the fourth oldest person in Ontario, celebrates his 107th birthday. 😀🎂

Iwan Winniczuk, who survived the Holodomor, the Soviet-engineered famine that killed millions of Ukrainians, arrived in Canada in 1951 after escaping deportation to Siberia and serving in the Russian army.

A life that carries more history than most can imagine 🇨🇦

At 107 years old, Iwan Winniczuk has lived through moments that shaped the world. From surviving the Holodomor as a child to enduring deportation and war, his story is one of resilience against unimaginable hardship.

After making his way west in search of freedom, he arrived in Canada in 1951 and built a new life in Ontario, helping strengthen the Ukrainian community through churches and cultural spaces. Today, surrounded by family in Mississauga, he continues to carry those traditions forward across generations.

Even now, he remains active, independent, and deeply connected to his loved ones. His story is more than a milestone birthday. It is a reminder of survival, of rebuilding, and of the strength that shapes communities across Canada. 🇨🇦

💬 What do you think is the most powerful lesson from a life like this?
