Ronald “Ron” Joseph Gaston Savoy, beloved partner and best friend of Joyce Ramsay of Miramichi, NB, passed away on Wednesday, April 22, 2026, at Miramichi Hospital at the age of 67.

Born in Newcastle, NB, he was the son of the late William and Yvonne Savoie.

Ron worked as a carpenter and took on a variety of jobs throughout his life.

In addition to his partner, Joyce, he is lovingly remembered by his daughters: Blaine Caissie of Toronto, ON; Chantal Savoie (Taras Gilbert) of Red Deer, AB; and Natalie Fournier (Kyle) of Sheffield, NB; his stepchildren, Andy and April; and the mother of his children, Danielle Blacquière of Fredericton, NB. He is also survived by his sisters: Emma Tessier of Quebec; Theresa Benk (Michael) of Alberta; and Evelyn Henry of New Brunswick; his sister-in-law, Gloria Savoie of New Brunswick; and his cherished grandchildren: Marshall, Harrison, Ava, and Leah, along with many nieces and nephews.

Along with his parents, Ron was predeceased by his siblings: Norma Gould-Davies, Irene Segan, and Fred Savoie, as well as his brother-in-law, Claude Tessier.

Phyllis (Gaudie) Corney passed peacefully on Thursday, April 23, 2026, at the Miramichi Regional Hospital, with her family by her side.

She was the cherished wife of Hayward Corney and was born in Aberdeen, Scotland, to the late Robert and Evelyn (Craig) Gaudie.

In addition to her devoted husband of 73 years, Hayd, she leaves behind her three beloved daughters: Debbie Ward of Blissfield, NB; Beverley Corney of Woodstock, NB; and Heather McCormack of Blackville, NB. She will be fondly remembered by her grandchildren: Angela Frenette (Dwayne) of Blackville, NB; Lisa Remillard (Jeremy) of Fredericton, NB; Scott McCormack (Brandie) of South Esk, NB; Melana Ligertwood (Brian) of Houston, Texas; Troy Ward of Blissfield, NB; and Kayla Jardine-Farrell (Josh Farrell) of Woodstock, NB. She also leaves 16 great-grandchildren, 2 step great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandson, as well as several nieces and nephews in both Scotland and Canada.

Phyllis was predeceased by her parents and by members of her family in Scotland, including her sisters Thea Munyard (Ted) and Audrey Morris (Tom), and her nephew Michael Scott. She was also predeceased by members of her Canadian family, including her infant daughter Susan, her sister Lynn Parks (George), her nephew Graham Parks, and her son-in-law Tommy Ward.

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Dale Gordon Somers, who went home on Sunday, April 19, 2026, at The Moncton Hospital, with loved ones by his side.

Born in Chatham, New Brunswick, he was the son of the late Edward and Jean (Blakely) Somers.

Dale’s faith remained strong and steadfast, even through life’s most difficult challenges. Following his spinal injury two years ago, he continued to face each day with positivity and joy, often expressing his belief that his journey would serve a greater purpose and bring glory to God.

An accountant by profession, Dale’s career spanned a variety of roles in both the private sector and faith-based organizations. He concluded his working years as Director of Finance and Operations at Hillside Baptist Church.

He will be deeply missed by his loving wife, Wendy (Steeves) Somers; his daughter, Lauren Wilson (Thomas); and his cherished grandchildren, Alice, Taylor, and Charlotte, who brought him immense joy. He is also survived by his sisters, Betty Somers and Susan Walsh (Bob); his brothers, Charlie (Sue) and John; as well as many nieces and nephews, including Tammy (Marc) Clement, Jeff (Susan) Steeves, Karla (Tony) Locke, George Steeves, Janique Steeves, Jeff (Andrea) Somers, and Jillian Somers.

Margaret “Margie” Jane (Adair) Boucher, a resident of Losier Hall, passed away on Wednesday, April 22, 2026, at the Miramichi Regional Hospital at the age of 75.

A lifelong resident of Miramichi, Margie was born to the late Harold and Theresa (Galliah) Adair.

She is lovingly remembered by her two sons, Toby Blackmore and Timmy Blackmore; her sisters, Theresa Smallwood (Wayne) and Frances Riche (John); her brothers, John Adair and Harold Adair Jr.; and her sister-in-law, Karen Adair. She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews who will cherish her memory.

In addition to her parents, Margie was predeceased by her first husband, James Blackmore, and her brother, Robert “Bobby” Adair.

It is with deep sorrow that we share the passing of Sharon Anne Watson, who died peacefully on Thursday, April 23, 2026, at the Saint John Regional Hospital, with her family by her side.

Born July 14, 1954, in Newcastle, New Brunswick, Sharon was the daughter of Leo and Margaret Woods. She will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Sharon was predeceased by her father, Leo Woods; her cherished husband, Art Watson; and her brother, Brian Woods.

She is lovingly remembered by her mother, Margaret Woods; her daughter, Lisa Armstrong (Tyler); her son, Mike Watson (Crystal); her brother, David Woods (Anne); and her sisters, Mary Woods (Scott Grasman) and Peggy Power (Billy). Sharon also leaves behind her treasured grandchildren, Lauren and Seth Armstrong, and Brayden, Colton, and Lara Watson, along with several nieces and nephews.

With heartfelt love and appreciation for a life well lived, we share the peaceful passing of Grace Gillis (née Alward) on Wednesday, February 18, 2026, at the age of 92.

Grace was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Addison Gillis, with whom she shared many years of love and companionship. She will be lovingly remembered as a caring and devoted mother to her four children: Richard (Denise), Karen Tansey, Kevin (Sandra), and Tammy Stanley (David).

She was a proud and deeply loved grandmother to Michael (Tanya), Zachary (Sarah), Tyler, Taylor, Kurtis, Dylan (Jasmine), Sarah, and Sydney (Jean), and a cherished great-grandmother. Her family meant everything to her, and she held dear every moment they spent together.

John Eric Foran, a resident of Calgary and originally from Miramichi, passed away at the Foothills Medical Centre in Calgary on Saturday, April 18, 2026, at 47 years of age.

Born in Newcastle, New Brunswick, he was the son of Patricia (Ullock) Foran and the late John Winston Foran. Eric built his career as a pipefitter in the oil and gas sector and later took on roles focused on health and safety.

He leaves behind his loving wife, Catherine (Boyer) Foran of Calgary, Alberta; his cherished children, Brendan Tozer-Foran and Lilliana Foran; his mother, Patricia Foran of Miramichi; his sister, Lori Foran of Lower Sackville, Nova Scotia; his brother, Mark Foran (Lacy McGrath) of Calgary; his beloved dog, Dixie; along with many aunts, uncles, and cousins who will remember him fondly.

Wayne Spencer Gulliver of Gardiner’s Point, New Brunswick, passed away on April 21, 2026, at the Miramichi Regional Hospital at the age of 78.

Born in Chatham, New Brunswick, on October 8, 1947, he was the son of the late Winston and Edna (Johnston) Gulliver. Wayne is lovingly remembered by his wife, Marva (Chapman) Gulliver, and his daughter, Erin Gulliver of Gardiner’s Point.

He is also survived by his sisters, Arlene Minchella of Gardiner’s Point, Jean Martinson of Courtenay, British Columbia, and Everlyn Durelle of Rothesay, New Brunswick; his brothers, David Gulliver of Gardiner’s Point and Lorne Gulliver (Dana) of Courtenay, British Columbia; along with several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sister, Doreen, and his brother-in-law, Donald Martinson.

We are deeply saddened to share that Janice “Jan” Salome passed away at her home on April 22, 2026, after a short illness.

Born in Campbellton, New Brunswick, she was the eldest daughter of the late Joe and Doris (Chamberlain) Salome.

Jan leaves behind her sisters, Paula Matthews (Rick) and Emily Quinn (Wayne), as well as her nieces Kirsten Scott (Greg), Erin Salome (Jamie), Tanya Quinn, and Amy Quinn. She will also be fondly remembered by her special great-niece, Avery Scott, and her sisters-in-law, Judy Salome and Gerri Salome.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Greg Salome.

Shirley Mae Mullin (née Matchett), widow of the late James Mullin, formerly of Trout Brook, NB and most recently a resident of Mount St. Joseph Nursing Home, passed away on Tuesday, April 21, 2026, at Vondy House in Miramichi, NB, at the age of 87.

Born in Newcastle, NB, she was the daughter of the late Irvine and Gurnetta Matchett (MacDonald).

She leaves behind her son, Barry Mullin of Miramichi, NB; her sister, Minnie Baisley, also of Miramichi; and her cherished grandchildren, Jared (Brianna), Braden (Taylor), and Kyley (Samantha). She will also be lovingly remembered by her great-grandchildren: Terri, Ruby, Daisy, Beau, Delilah, and Brielle.

In addition to her husband and parents, Shirley was predeceased by her son, Terry; her infant sister, Eleanor; sisters Nancy Pleadwell and Joyce Waye; infant brothers James and Irvine; and her brothers Victor, Fred, Clinton, Glen, Beverly, William, Winston, and Mervin.

The family of L. Helen (Ullock) Dunnett shares the news of her peaceful passing on Thursday, April 16, 2026, at Hospice House Fredericton.

Helen was born on September 12, 1935, in Newcastle, Miramichi, New Brunswick. She was the fifth of six children born to Gordon and Gertrude (Devereau) Ullock. She was the devoted wife of the late Murray H. Dunnett of Fredericton, NB, originally from Whitney, with whom she shared 60 years of marriage.

Helen was a founding member of Eastern Star Chapter 42 in Newcastle and made history as the first woman to join the Brotherhood of United Commercial Travelers (UCT 746) in Fredericton, where she remained an active and dedicated member for 47 years. She was also a faithful member of Grace Memorial Baptist Church and took great pride in her involvement with her community.

Helen will be deeply missed by her daughters, Pamela Hamilton of Vancouver, BC; Paula Dunnett of Fredericton, NB; and Penny Granter (Tim) of Hanwell, NB. She is also lovingly remembered by her grandchildren, Jennifer Hamilton and Kyle Hamilton of Ontario, Danica Hamilton of British Columbia, Tyler Granter of New Brunswick, and Courtney Donohue (Mitchell) of Nova Scotia; as well as her great-grandchildren, Jacob Granter, Adelyn Donohue, and Eli Donohue. She is survived by several nieces and nephews across Canada and her goddaughter, Lori Gohill (Dixon) of Alberta.

In addition to her parents and her husband, Helen was predeceased by her siblings Jackie Ullock (Jean), Betty Hubbard (Melvin), Dodie MacDonald (Scottie), Don Ullock (Dora Mae), and Gerald Ullock; her son, Wayne M. Dunnett; son-in-law, Carman Hamilton; grandson, Derek Hamilton; great-grandson, Ryan Hamilton; along with two nephews and one niece.

Lawrence “Larry” Thomas Kenneth Dennis Parker of Esgenoôpetitj, New Brunswick, beloved husband of Jamie-Lee (Francis) Parker, passed away on Sunday, April 19, 2026, at Percy’s Place at the age of 57.

He was born in Boston, Massachusetts, and was the son of Dennis Parker and the late Mary Martina (Augustine) Parker. Larry spent more than 20 years working as a lobster fisherman.

Along with his wife and father, he leaves to mourn his daughters, Lily Babineau and Vanna Mitchell; his sons, Frank Dedam, Chance Francis (Hannah Cully), Alex Louie, and Issac Augustine (Ashley); as well as his chosen sons, Chandler Simon and Derek Savoy. He was a proud grandfather to Nicole Babineau, Aria Mitchell, Ace Mitchell, Nate Mitchell, Reid Augustine, Liam Augustine, Honor Gideon, and Lyrica Bonnell.

Larry will also be remembered by his sisters, Lorraine Savoie (late Laurie), Ella Paul (Eric), Denise Parker, Doria Parker (Melvin), and Shawna Vienneau; his sister-in-law, Shahila Francis; and his brothers-in-law, Billy Francis (Roxanne) and Chris Wysote (father of Alei Wysote). He held a special place in the lives of his godsons, Nathan Vienneau and Shane Francis, and is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his mother, Larry was predeceased by his in-laws, Robin and Dorrance Francis.
