This past weekend, Alyssa, Justin, Dr. Burns and Dr. Ryan had the incredible opportunity to volunteer at the Special Olympics bowling event on Prince Edward Island, and what an unforgettable experience it was!

As part of the Special Olympics Healthy Athletes Program, we helped conduct visual exams on over 80 amazing athletes, ensuring they have the eye care they need to perform at their best. From checking vision and eye health to fitting glasses where needed, it was all about supporting these inspiring individuals and helping remove barriers to good health.

Each athlete brought their energy, determination, and smiles, and we were honored to play a small part in their journey. We're grateful to Special Olympics PEI for the opportunity and to our incredible volunteers who gave their time, expertise, and heart.

These athletes reminded us what true dedication looks like. We left feeling inspired, proud, and more committed than ever to making a difference in our community.

🎉 SPECtacular Kids Day: Superhero Edition! 🦸‍♂️🦸‍♀️

We are beyond proud of our clinic family for coming together this weekend to make a difference in the lives of local kids! 💖 With the amazing partnership we have with the BGC Moncton, we were able to provide FREE eye exams and glasses to 40 kids in need from our community! 👓✨

This marks our 4th SPECtacular Kids Day, and it was truly a day of heroism and heart! 🌟 Seeing the smiles on the kids' faces as they received the care and support they deserve reminds us why we do what we do.

Thank you to everyone who contributed to making this event a huge success — we couldn't have done it without you! 🙌 Together, we are making a lasting impact and helping kids see the world in a whole new way!

Today (December 23rd) the team will be enjoying our "Christmas morning" together. The clinic will be open from 1pm until 5pm. We will also share the winners of the Gingerbread competition!

In celebration of the holiday season, our clinic will be CLOSED from December 24th through January 1st. We’ll be taking this time to rest, recharge, and enjoy the festivities with our loved ones. 🎁✨

Our team will be back to on January 2nd to welcome you in 2025!

🎅🎄 Exciting News! Santa’s Sleigh Has Arrived to Beyond 20/20 Optometry! 🎄🎅

We’re thrilled to announce that Santa (with the help of some funny looking reindeer) has dropped off his sleigh here at the clinic to help us collect toys for those in need this Christmas season!

✨ If you’d like to make a donation to What Kids Need Moncton Inc and spread some holiday cheer, please bring in a new, unwrapped toy to add to Santa’s sleigh. We’re helping make Christmas brighter for kids in our community, and your generosity will make all the difference! ✨

If any kids (or kids at heart!) want to see Santa’s sleigh up close or snap a picture, come on by! Santa’s sleigh is on display in our optical, and we’d love to see you!

🎄✨ This holiday season, we are excited to announce that Beyond 20/20 Optometry will be doing a Christmas Toy Drive! 🎁❤️

In the spirit of giving, we are committed to making a difference in the lives of families in need within our community. We will be partnering with What Kids Need Moncton Inc to help bring smiles to children this Christmas!

How the toy drive will work: From now until December 13th, 2024, If you bring in a new toy with its receipt (value up to $50) you will receive the value of that toy off your glasses purchase! Together, we can ensure that every child feels the magic of the holidays. Let’s make this season brighter for those who need it most!

If you do not need to purchase glasses but you would still like to donate a toy, please drop it off at our clinic by December 13th when Santa stops by to load up his sleigh!

🎉🎉 Celebrating 5 Amazing Years! 🎉🎉

Today marks a special milestone for our clinic – it’s our 5th anniversary! It’s been an unforgettable five years of helping our community and 'Changing Lives, Through Vision'. Starting from a small little clinic with 4 team members to now having the larger space and 15 amazing people that keep this clinic going.

To celebrate the day we are focusing on something very important: Spending time together to celebrate and reflect on our journey so far. This means we are closing the clinic and taking afternoon off to celebrate and have some fun!!

Welcome to Beyond 20/20 Optometry! This clinic was started by two Optometrists who have a passion for Binocular Vision and Vision Therapy. Dr Megan Burns and Dr Ryan Kazakow received their Doctor of Optometry Degree at Nova Southeastern University in Davie, Florida. They both went on to complete the 100 hour Sanet Vision Therapy Seminars in San Diego, California. They are proud to offer an amazing service to the people of Moncton that is not currently offered.

Where most stop, we are just beginning. We believe in going beyond 20/20 to find the root of your vision problem. There is much more to vision than clarity. It is important for both eyes to work together as a team. We are dedicated to helping our patients reach their full potential through lenses and vision training. Our expertise allows us to help patients suffering from: - Binocular Vision Disorder - Visual Processing Disorder - Visually Related Learning Difficulties - Post Concussion Vision Syndrome - Sports Vision
