The king of swords brings accomplishments and full mental authority. We want to do this with positivity and kindness so we don’t flip to his darker controlling side.

We now look for clarity and logic and being very direct with our needs and boundaries, as emotions can mix us up and cloud our judgement. This could also indicate someone in your life with the ability to be certain and in control of themselves intellectually.

I asked what comes after our accomplishments or clarity - and got 6 cups!
-
Sharing that accomplishment with others - perhaps even someone from your past! It’s a feeling of nostalgia and comforts coming back into our life - we need to vet these and see if they are good for our mental and physical health, just because it was comfortable doesn’t mean it was in our best interest!

Together it looks like we are likely making a decision on something from our past. Something resurfacing - but we are approaching it with wisdom and not emotion this time. We may be scared of falling into old patterns or needing to tell someone a bit of truth in order to have them in your life again - but the king says ‘not this time’ to those hurtful things.

Step out of old emotional loops into something more self-protective, fair and stable. Clearer visions and wiser minds make things that once had emotional power over us not hold so much weight now.

This card is about learning acceptance for what you currently have and where you currently are.
✨
Living in the present with peace or deciding from here to make a choice to change. When we see clearly what we have and are grateful for the good we DO have - we can make realistic steps toward where we want to end up in the future - when the future becomes our present. This way we don’t feel stifled and set back in our present when the future we want isn’t immediate. Living too far in the future can make us feel like our present is a failure, then we don’t allow joy into our days.

Accept the path you’re on, and realizing some things cannot be changed right now, enables us to make a plan and clearly see where we are. Do we like it? What DON’T we like? Do we need change? CAN we accept things as they are? What is a realistic step? Keep in mind that what’s best FOR you will keep trying to find you. Sometimes it’s just a different decision or mindset that allows us to accept the direction.

Let life flow like water, every twist and turn - navigate it naturally and don’t try and force things. Fighting every day just wears us down.
✨
It is up to us to see it and then to choose it. If it is doable, and reaches toward our future goal, why not?

I’m not a therapist, but I’ve studied CBT, Life Coaching, Mindfulness, Complex Trauma & Mental Health Awareness, and I’m currently learning NLP, Hypnotherapy, and Peer Counselling to better support the people I meet. My approach is trauma-informed, practical, and built on my real-life experience.

Harvest moon wants us to know that the wheel is turning, hang in there if things haven’t seemed in tire side in a bit. Something beneficial will show up in the next bit, this card is always a turning point. Greet unexpected opportunities and any chance to align with the flow of life- just as the moon pulls the tides and waxes and wanes - balance is kept.

If you’ve been encountering obstacles, feeling like you’re being pulled in multiple directions, or having a hard time adapting to changes - fighting the flow just adds to the stress and clouds judgement even when would-be good things arise. Always take a step back and assess with clear brains as best you can. Life can be chaotic, but you can find your center, weigh the facts not the emotions and feel grounded so you don’t get swept away by it.

Take note when things seem to ‘fall into place’ or seem to be a coincidence - there’s no such thing, follow that vibe, small things adding up can move your life forward. 
✨
No need to move mountains all at once, small targeted and informed steps can turn the wheel in your favour even if it feels far away at the moment. Likewise if it’s turning in the other direction - all you can do is your best and when you don’t know something, ask a question - information removes fears and doubts :)

Temperance and The Devil remind us that balance is the key to feeling free when we are feeling bound by circumstance - Health, situation, financial obligations or inner fears- all feels like a rock and a hard place with no visible solution - there are solutions you just have to whittle things down to bite sized pieces.

No more panic flailing or extremes (all or nothing thinking) just keeps you ‘up’ and unable to see clearly - address things calmly, most things that bind the mind are temporary and don’t need that insane direct correction - little steps toward good build up just as much as negative ones. Communication opens doors and asking questions builds wisdom and eliminates directions that won’t be fruitful.

It’s easy to feel completely overwhelmed - and unfortunately it’s easy to feel chained and powerless when life piles it on.
✨
Don’t try to fight everything at once, take small, steady steps that restore that calmer flowing vibe that you crave.
✨
Each small step toward balance loosens the grip of those chains- which are loose and able to be broken- and eliminate what holds you down one link at a time.
✨
you are not truly trapped — patient, consistent choices can free you. Make a list of what’s realistic and where you want to be and find the connections to keep what feels good and serves to how you want to feel.

If you’re overwhelmed by emotions today, pause and feel them—don’t push them down. Emotional heaviness often comes when life doesn’t unfold the way we hoped.

If someone’s manipulating your emotions or not truly seeing you, don’t sit with that—speak on it. A simple conversation can shift everything. Sometimes, we realize we’ve been overthinking, or that someone didn’t even know they hurt us.
✨
Other times, speaking up brings clarity and relief. It doesn’t always fix the whole situation, but it lightens the weight.
✨
Suppressed emotions cloud judgment and affect behavior. Emotional maturity means feeling deeply and meeting others with compassion. Avoiding hard talks for fear of conflict only leads to resentment.
✨
The King of Cups teaches us empathy, but when reversed, he can get emotionally manipulative or shut down. Don’t let that energy lead—whether it’s in you or someone else.

Stay focused, even if progress feels slow — some things take time. Trust the process, and put in effort when it’s needed.

Sometimes stepping back shows how far you’ve come. Ask yourself: Do I like the path I’m on? Could it be smoother? Sometimes all you can do is be patient — the future arrives regardless.
✨
The Six of Swords signals movement away from pain and toward peace — both literally and emotionally. If you’ve been doing the work to heal, you’re on the right path. Caring for yourself is caring for others — you can’t pour from an empty cup.

Festivities, reunions and enjoying good times with friends and loved ones.

Make a big deal, life is worth living when we find joy in experience, learning, transition periods and caring. Usually we want to celebrate the small things each day, but this feels like a milestone of some sort.

Connecting and getting out there even if it isn’t your usual jam is important to personal growth - if you’re invited, go! Can always leave, but give it a try.

Make sure you set aside some time for fun activities and relaxing your way - because life is too short to cater to stress every second of every day (definitely speaking to myself as well here) 😅
