Summer is almost here! Time to show off those toes in some sandals! ♡

Tip: Did you know you can bring new life to old nail polish that is thick? you can add a bit of nail polish remover and shake and its just like new...

Just be sure to remove any polish prior to foot care appointments of course. :)

My bare toes with no nail polish. ♡♡ I havent painted them since November when I finished my course!!

I learned nailpolish MUST be completely removed before using my tools. One time I was lazy and only removed a majority of a client's polish.. I soon discovered how difficult it is to clean dry polish off my tools!!

Each client must remove their polish before I arrive, if it gets missed somehow Im prepared to remove it before getting started.

So happy to squeeze in one past appointment this evening before the Red Level Restrictions begin!

Red Level Restrictions mean I must refrain from any Foot Care unless it is an Urgent Need.

Please contact me if this occurs, I'd be happy to come to the rescue. Sadly, all other appointments are cancelled until we return to Orange. These people have each been contacted.

Stay Safe Everyone!

Please read below to ease your safety concerns regarding covid and my Foot Care practice.

- I have an official Doc saying I am allowed to continue practicing during Orange that I have copied and will bring with me to any appointments.

- I also have a covid screening form I will go through with all clients before driving to their home.

- I ask that clients use hand sanitizer and wear a mask when I arrrive.

- I will wear mask upon arrival and add a face sheild, gown and gloves before I begin any care.

- All my gear is sanitized well before and after entering a client's home.

Safety In these times needs to be taken seriously and I certainly will be. ♡♡♡

Look what just arrived.. Gotta love those late evening deliveries. Happy to finally have them!

Recently, I have been asked by two people about removing foreign objects from their feet, and another asked about removing warts. I'd love to expand on those common topics. :)

Though I may be able to offer some great advice, I cannot actually cure either within my scope of practice. But wait.... please read on.

What I can do for warts is reduce the surface with a rotary tool. This will allow any medication (that you will be applying yourself) to work much more easily rather than through the tough exterior. I would be prepping your skin for treatment.

I have dealt with warts for my daughter for a long time and she is now wart-free so I do have some info and experience to share. Advice is free!

A Nursing Foot Care appointment does not involve any breaking of the skin. No blood, no pain.

My job is considered Advanced because I am trained how to use a rotary tool. I can reduce thickened toe nails or reduce calluses significantly. I can also pack cotton in to help treat and prevent ingrown toenails, (Though I cannot care for them if there is visible infection). I also cannot do wound care as I would as an LPN at the hospital. There, I would be following Doctors orders. I have not been trained on how to make those decisions. ♡

Whatever foot issues or questions you have, please send me a message. I will help when able, but if not, I can let you know that as well. I can share my personal experience and also make recommendations on how to prevent issues from reoccurring.

It is my goal as a Foot Care Nurse, to aim to "work myself out of the job" whenever possible. I want your feet to always become better than when I first saw them. :)

Yes I finally did it!!! ♡
