✨ Why hire a Doula? ✨

💛 I believe that every birthing person deserves the support they want, need, and should have throughout pregnancy, labor, birth, and beyond. Having a doula means having a calm, knowledgeable presence by your side — someone who will walk with you through every stage, help you feel informed and empowered, and hold space for your unique birth journey.

A doula provides emotional, physical, and informational support before, during, and after birth — helping you navigate your choices, cope with intensity, and feel confident in your body’s ability to give birth.

But it’s not just about the birthing person — a doula is also there to support your partner. I help partners feel prepared and confident, offering gentle guidance and reassurance so they can be the best possible source of comfort and encouragement. Together, we work as a team to create a positive, connected birth experience.

🌿 I also believe that everyone who wants a doula should have access to one, regardless of financial circumstances. That’s why I work on a sliding scale for fees, making doula care more accessible to families in our community.

✨ Big News ✨

I’m so thrilled to share that I’ll be returning to my Doula work in January 2026! 💕

I’ve deeply missed the magic of walking alongside families during one of the most special and transformative times of their lives. There is nothing quite like the beauty of supporting a labouring person and the incredible first moments of welcoming a newborn into the world. This is my passion, my calling, and truly what makes me feel most alive. 🌸

5th Treatment DONE! ✅

This journey with stage 3 ovarian cancer has been filled with obstacles and challenges that I never could have imagined facing. Chemotherapy has tested me in ways both physically and emotionally, but today I can finally say that I have just completed my 5th round of treatment—and I’m beginning to see the end in sight.

Round 4 was especially tough, and Round 5 started out rocky with three failed attempts to get an IV in, which left me feeling so ill. But it’s behind me now, and I’m choosing to keep moving onward and upward.

Through all of this, I’ve never been alone. To everyone who has supported me—those who have checked in, who have filled our freezer with meals, who have lifted me and my family with love and kindness—thank you from the bottom of my heart. Your care has carried us through some of the hardest moments.

I want to share that I’m not just surviving—I’m thriving. Each step forward is proof of strength, resilience, and the power of love and community.

Yesterday I received this darling gift basket, full of personally selected items ,from a beautiful family I had the pleasure of working with. This gift means more than what my words can expressed and warmed my hear. It came at a perfect time to lift my spirits. I also had the pleasure of playing with the little babe who I was Doula for her birth. Seeing babes a whole year is a gift in itself!! Love to watch them grow and stay connected with my Doula clients/ families. It is an honour to be part of their story and I treasure this deeply. Thank you again to this fabulous family !

Hi 👋 Everyone! Just wanted to pop in and say Hello and hope everyone is having a good summer! I sure am! And feeling well between my chemotherapy treatments. I have had many people reach out to me concerning ovarian cancer and my diagnosis, please know I am an open book and happy to share my early symptoms , my story which lead to stage 3c ovarian cancer diagnosis. I am an advocate for women and women’s health always and will continue to share about Ovarian Cancer to raise more awareness about this silent disease that sneaks up on so many woman and is the deadliest gynecological cancer with the least research. Ovarian cancer has a high mortality rate compared to other gynaecological cancers. And is the fifth leading cause of cancer-related death in women. This stuff is heavy ladies. Keep pushing for screenings for such as an ultrasound for there is no PAP test screening. As well request a CA- 125 blood test if you have any suspicious symptoms. Today I am actually being part of a documentary and sharing my story! It is exciting and nerve racking all at the same time. Just know I am still here in your corner, I do take longer to reply and will not be actively working as a Doula for quite some time. ( I aim to be back September 2026) I am available for online support and can always assist in finding you a Doula in your area. I am missing my Doula work greatly! However know this time is for my healing and inner focus on fighting this cancer. Wishing you all the best and have a great summer!

Happy Father’s Day to all of the amazing Dad’s out there!! There are so many of you. So many that stand strong eagerly waiting for your newborn child to enter the world. To hold them, to comfort them, to love them wholly. I have seen so much magic in an instant moment where people become the amazing Dad they are for a first time or additional time, the second their little one joins us earth side. Their love explodes to a whole new level filling the room where all can feel it. It is an honour to be part of that journey. To witness such immediate deep love. ❤️

Hello Followers, This is an announcement of my immediate medical leave. I am unsure when I will be back to my Doula work. However in the meantime I can connect you with my back up Doulas who are more than happy to help. Please allow 72 hours for a response. I get it now. More so than ever. The before and after of a major life altering event. And the simple words “ you have stage 3.82C ovarian cancer” changed everything. I have a long road ahead of chemotherapy treatment, but I am preparing myself for that now. Fighting this is now my full time job. It is all that matters now. I need to do everything I can to help myself in this journey to fight for my children, my husband, my family, for my life. This is a whole new chapter of life beginning. What I thought was the end, was truly just the beginning. And I am determined to make sure this chapter of mine is as good as it can be, as positive as it can be, and as strong as it can be. I will be embracing the new me as I grow in this journey called life. ❤️
