Hello everyone, I am Karyn Desbiens, born in 1973, a time when tattooing was a form of expression reserved for rebellious spirits, daring bikers, prison outcasts, and the free-spirited hippies. It was a period when each inked design carried a profound and often mysterious significance, creating a living canvas of narratives and counterculture. It was in this charged social context that I grew up, finding fascination and inspiration in the diversity of motifs, styles, and meanings behind each tattoo. My academic journey led me to college training in Graphic Design, and it was there that my fascination with tattooing took root. What began as a simple interest transformed into a true vocation throughout my studies. Self-taught at heart, I drew my inspiration from the rich Old School/Traditional culture, undertaking to revive this aesthetic through my creations. Today, with more than 30 years of experience as a tattoo artist, I am proud to run my own studio dedicated to this captivating art. C'était une période où chaque encre gravée portait une signification profonde et souvent mystérieuse, créant ainsi une toile vivante de récits et de contre-culture. C'est dans ce contexte social chargé que j'ai grandi, trouvant fascination et inspiration dans la diversité des motifs, des styles et des significations derrière chaque tatouage. Dès mon enfance, j'ai nourri une passion inébranlable pour l'art, plus particulièrement le dessin. Mon parcours scolaire m'a conduit à une formation collégiale en Graphisme, et c'est là que ma fascination pour le tatouage a pris racine. Ce qui débuta comme un simple intérêt s'est transformé en une véritable vocation au fil de mes études. Autodidacte dans l'âme, j'ai puisé mon inspiration dans la riche culture Old School / Traditionnelle entrepris de redonner vie à cette esthétique à travers mes créations. Aujourd'hui, fort de plus de 30 ans d'expérience en tant que tatoueuse, je suis fière de diriger mon propre salon dédié à cet art captivant.
