If you ever hear someone say “let’s lean into that discomfort” or “you do not have to feel calm to do this,” it’s probably me! I’m an anxiety therapist who works with teens and adults dealing with anxiety disorders, panic, and phobias.

My approach blends acceptance and commitment therapy with cognitive behavioural therapy, and a dose of exposure work. That means we practice facing fear on purpose instead of spending life avoiding it. It’s not always comfortable, but it’s incredibly freeing. Watching clients rediscover confidence and courage never gets old! ☺️

Some betrayals are small.🪩
Some stay a little longer.✨

Healing is learning to notice them without needing to fix them.🫶🏻
It’s realizing that peace doesn’t always mean closure.💕

Sometimes growth is quiet.
Sometimes it’s just not reacting.
Either way, it counts.

Sometimes the tears you’ve been holding back are exactly what you need✨

Letting yourself cry isn’t losing control it’s releasing everything your body’s been carrying🫶🏻

It’s a reminder that you’re allowed to feel deeply and still be strong💕

Soft moments are powerful too🪩

✨ There is often a part of us that wants to keep things light, even in therapy.
Maybe it is the part that cracks a joke, changes the subject, or fills the silence before it gets too real.

That part is not wrong. It is doing its best to keep us safe.
Therapy invites us to meet it with gentleness, and to slowly make space for the emotions underneath.

Even noticing the pattern is progress 🪩🫶🏻

So many of my clients don’t realize they’re emotionally drained until it shows up in subtle ways 🦋

It can look like saying yes when you really want to say no, feeling numb instead of connected, or being irritated by the smallest things 🪩

As a therapist, I want you to know this is not weakness ✨ It’s your mind and body asking for care.

Rest is restorative 🫶🏻 Boundaries are healing 💕 Slowing down is brave.

✨ Burnout isn’t just being tired. It’s your brain feeling foggy, heavy, and not like you. 🦋
Suddenly even the smallest tasks feel impossible, your focus slips, and you wonder why you can’t just push through. 🪩

Here’s the truth… your brain is in survival mode, and it needs care not pressure. 💕
Rest, reset, and gentleness are part of the healing. 🫶🏻

You deserve to feel like yourself again.

Sometimes it feels like the brain has twelve tabs open 🪩 and none of them want to close.

Anxiety has a way of making every single thought feel urgent ✨ when most of them really don’t need to be.

You are allowed to pause, to breathe, and to take up space even when your mind is doing the most 💕

Gentle reminder to be soft with yourself today 🫶🏻

Since Taylor’s dropping a new album soon, I figured we should all mentally prepare the only way we know how… by crying over lyrics that hit way too close to home 🫶🏻✨

So this week I’m sharing some swiftie inspired lines that double as free therapy 😍

It was the great escape, the prison break, the getaway car… but make it emotions 🪩

Sometimes our feelings want to run the whole show, speeding off with no plan.

Healing is learning they can ride in the car without holding the keys 🫶🏻

Your anxiety is loud 🫶🏻 and that is okay. It is your brain trying to protect you, even if it does not always feel that way 💕

One way we can respond is with an ACT skill called defusion. Instead of wrestling with anxious thoughts, we gently notice them, thank our mind for trying to help, and then guide ourselves back to the present moment 🤍🦋

You do not have to silence your anxiety to heal. You can learn tools to make space for it without letting it run the show 🪩
