This week we took time for some reflection. We reflected on all of the reasons we are thankful for the season, while many were unique, we had a lot of similarities as well. Between being thankful for our loved ones, our community, living each day, food in our stomachs, love that surrounds us, and everything in-between. Each and every one adds such great perspective, and were curated with thought and care.

We want to wish all of our amazing residents, staff, families, and our supportive community a truly blessed Thanksgiving. We are thankful to have the love and support that is poured into our Briarlea family each and every day, and for the honor of caring for our many loved ones. Take this time to reflect with us, here are some of the answers that were shared. 🦃🍁❤️

Our knitting club surprised Nick with a beautiful sweater, every stitch made with love. Nick is always teasing our knitting club, while checking in each week, asking "where is my sweater ladies?" And our knitting club took this as a challenge and wanted to surprise him with one.

In true Briarlea fashion, our ladies decided that wasn't quite enough, so they organized a lovely ceremony, where Nick was awarded as an honorable member of the knitting club. They presented him with a fashionable hat, a lovely poem written by Gloria, a certificate officiated by the members of the knitting club, and a sash he could strut down a runway with.

A big shout out to Nick for going the extra mile, being Mr Fix it, and providing those extra sentimental moments and gestures that make such a difference. Well done 👏🏆 🧶🥰

Also thank you to Ann, Maripi and Maripis sweet grandmother, Heather, Lisa, and the many helping hands for helping make this happen ❤️

We had the perfect morning returning to The Green Pig with more of our wonderful residents. Between the gorgeous drive, not a cloud in the sky, reminiscing many stories of our previous years, it made for great quality time with our Briarlea family 🥰🍂🎃🌽
