She has worked with both paediatric and adult clients in diverse settings such as rehabilitation clinics, homes, daycares, hospitals, public and private schools in Ontario, New Brunswick and Brussels, Belgium. Deborah is a registered member of:

- The Canadian Association of Speech Language Pathologists and Audiologists (CASLPA)
- The New Brunswick Association of Speech Language Pathologists and Audiologists (NBASLPA)
- The Prince Edward Island Speech and Hearing Association (PEISHA)

Deborah regularly attends professional development opportunities in order to further develop her skills and to remain current regarding best practices within the field. Some of these trainings include:
