Rencontre enrichissante hier avec Anick Viau, directrice générale de l’ AMDI - Association de Montréal pour la déficience intellectuelle, qui défend depuis 1935 les droits et le potentiel des personnes ayant une déficience intellectuelle grâce à des activités et des services de répit.

En tant que mère d'un fils autiste, cet enjeu me tient profondément à cœur. L'engagement de l'AMDI à faire en sorte que chaque personne soit reconnue comme un membre à part entière de notre société, à chaque étape de sa vie, est vraiment inspirant. Fière d'écouter, d'apprendre et de travailler ensemble vers un plus inclusif.

Meaningful meeting yesterday with Anick Viau, Executive Director of the Association de Montréal pour la Déficience Intellectuelle, which has been championing the rights and potential of people with intellectual disabilities since 1935 through activities and respite services.

As a mother of a son with autism, this issue is deeply personal to me. AMDI's commitment to ensuring that every person is recognized as a full and valued member of our society, at every stage of life, is truly inspiring. Proud to listen, learn, and work together toward a more inclusive .

Azrieli Clinic for the Neurodivergent Community
Providing access to medical and dental care for clients who are neurodiverse.
• The clinic is open Monday to Friday, 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
• Centre Miriam users, regardless of their address, are eligible to receive services
• All services are covered by Medicare
• A calming room with Snoezelen equipment helps patients relax and minimizes the use of anesthetics
• Demonstration tools are used to explain to patients what will happen during their exam
• Non-invasive medical technologies are given priority
• Staff have received training to adapt their communication skills and use specialized treatment tools for clients with an ID and/or ASD
