Update ..... the packouts have been found and returned. Thank you so much for sharing the post and thank you to the gentleman who found them and brought them back to us. We really are surrounded by wonderful people.

The funeral home lost a couple Milwaukee packouts today from the back of the truck. Somewhere between Sturgeon and Cardigan. One was a first aid kit and the second one had our lable maker, a couple name plates and an extra burgundy Urn Bag. If anyone finds them or has found them, we would really love to have that gear back. They can dropped off at the funeral home. Thank you.

People often ask us, “𝐻𝑜𝑤 𝑑𝑜 𝑦𝑜𝑢 𝑑𝑜 𝑡ℎ𝑖𝑠 𝑒𝑣𝑒𝑟𝑦 𝑑𝑎𝑦?” The answer is simple: it’s not just a job—it’s a calling.

As funeral professionals—whether in administration, as funeral directors, assistants, support staff, or behind the scenes—we all share one purpose: to serve families with care, dignity, and compassion.

This work is more than tasks and timelines. It’s a commitment to guide people through some of the hardest days of their lives.

Whether it’s preparing a space, answering a call, arranging details, or simply being present—we each play a role in helping families say goodbye with meaning and grace.

We do this because we believe in the importance of honouring life.

Because every person matters, and every farewell deserves to be handled with respect and heart.

We’re proud to serve this community—not just in moments of loss, but with steady support, quiet strength, and genuine compassion.

Welcome back Nat. We are pleased to hear of your healthy return to work.

Welcome back Nat. We are pleased to hear of your healthy return to work.

To my Community: A Message of Gratitude

After several weeks away, I’m grateful to share that I have now returned home to Souris.

This time away was essential, not only for my health, but also for my ability to continue serving this community in the way it deserves. I want to express my deepest thanks for the kindness, patience, and understanding so many of you showed during this pause. Your support allowed me the time and space to step back, fully disconnect, reflect, and do the work needed to heal and recover.

I’ve always known this community was special. Over the past several weeks, I’ve felt that truth more deeply than ever before.

Dingwell Funeral Home has now resumed operations and is available to support families with the care, compassion, and commitment you’ve come to expect. I return with renewed energy, a clearer mind, and a heart full of gratitude for the privilege of doing this work.

Thank you for holding space and for holding faith while I took the time to restore the energy this work requires. I’m truly honoured to continue walking alongside you in life’s most meaningful moments.

Warmly,

Nat Lamoureux

With heavy hearts we announce the sudden passing of Alvin Joseph Bouchard of Annandale (formerly of Uigg) on February 24th, 2025.

Alvin was born in Charlottetown, PEI on March 8th, 1971, to Elizabeth (Betty) Bouchard (nee Ellsworth) and Allan Bouchard. He is dearly missed by his only sibling Heather Bouchard, (Verley Harrison). Alvin is also missed by his several aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Predeceased by grandparents Catherine Bouchard (nee Hemphill), Alexander Bouchard, Elsie Ellsworth (nee Christopher), and Ira Ellsworth. As well as many aunts and uncles.

Alvin always loved to drive and knew he wanted to be a trucker since he was a young child. He fulfilled his dream to obtain his trucking license as soon as he was eligible, and proudly worked in the industry for over 30 years.

Alvin made many friends over the years. He would often call them from the road to keep in touch during his travels. He was best known for his signature one liners such as, ‘are we having any fun yet?’

Aside from trucks, Alvin’s passions included rock and roll, computers, all things Mopar, and animals.

As a proud Lion member, he was known to carry out random acts of kindness. Alvin was very thoughtful, and got joy out of making others happy.

Alvin touched the lives of many over the years. He will be missed, and lovingly remembered.

A Celebration of Life was held May 3rd, 2025.

Graveside service to be held Saturday, June 7, 2025 at St. Joachim’s Cemetery, Vernon River at 11:30 am.

The family would like to thank everyone for the outpouring of support since Alvin’s passing.
