This phrase came into my awareness once again today.
It was very synchronistic as it made me realize that this has been the exact mental attitude that has allowed me to overcome the various adversities and challenges I've encountered throughout my journey.
It seems like, no matter what happens to me, I have succeeded in viewing everything as part of the process of life on Earth and the bigger divine plan.
This phrase reminds us that "this too shall pass" - the challenging times will eventually pass to be replaced with pleasant times and the cycle goes on and on.
It is best to just allow life to flow without resisting it. Embracing whatever comes and releasing whatever goes.
Resistance is what creates suffering in the first place.
Yes, pain and grief are valid emotions and need to be felt, like all other emotions. Suffering, however, is optional and it depends on our own capacity to hold pain and ability to master our inner dialogue and thoughts.
Loving our fate requires a level of inner mastery. It is a skill that has to be developed. It is an understanding of inner alchemy.
And, let's be real - it is hard to always accept, let alone love, our circumstances.
While we are in the thick of it, it is hard to see the higher lesson or positive outcome of a challenging situation.
You can start by simply training yourself to allow your circumstances to unfold without you standing in the way.
Remember that we are not victims of our circumstances in life. On the larger scheme of things and on a higher level, each one of us chose to be here now with whatever that entails. We always have the choice between suffering/resistance and allowing things to flow with ease.
Eventually, the higher purpose/lesson of our experiences gets unfolded before our very eyes as long as we have the (inner) eyes to see.
Love,
Maria ❤️🔥
