The famous glucose test!
This must be done for every expecting mama 🤰🏽 between week 24-28 of pregnancy 🗓.
It allows us to screen for gestational diabetes.
This test can also be done if your doctor would like to screen you for diabetes (not during pregnancy).

Step 1️⃣: We draw initial blood tests 🩸 to determine your baseline.

Step 2️⃣: You must drink the glucose drink that is provided by us, within 5-7 minutes ⏰. Many women state it tastes like orange crush🍊🥤

Step 3️⃣: We return one hour after you finish the drink and draw the final blood tests 🩸 if your doctor ordered the 50g glucose test. (Total of two blood draws).

Step 4️⃣: If your doctor orders the 75g test, we return again an hour after the second blood test 🩸. (Total of three blood draws).
