HIRING – CHSLD-Long Term Care Nurse ‼️
We are currently looking for a licensed nurse to join the team for Chateau Westmount’s long-term care. The main responsibility of the licensed nurse is to provide the best care possible to our elderly clients mostly diagnosed with cognitive impairment and loss of autonomy.
The duties and tasks include the following:
- Assessing the needs of the clients assigned to him/her and providing responsible nursing care based on these identified needs.
- Developing and implementing a therapeutic nursing plan and a treatment plan for the clients.
- Working in harmony with the health care team composing of licensed practical nurses and PABs, making sure that the nursing plan of care is always up-to-date.
⁃ Initiating proper medical care to prevent deterioration of vulnerable clients and to maintain their remaining autonomy.
⁃ Prescribing laboratory tests and medications according to nursing practice standards
⁃ Assessing wounds and providing wound care
⁃ Communicate and give relevant updates to the clients’ families as well as to the other members of the health care team
Requirements:
⁃ Holds a diploma of collegial studies (DCS/DEC) or Bachelor's of science degree in nursing
⁃ Is a member of the Ordre des infirmières et infirmiers du Québec (OIIQ) for the current year
⁃ Ability to speak French and English
⁃ Updated vaccination against COVID-19
