“Detox” has become more of a marketing word than a medical one 🌿
Fun fact:
A toxin is technically a harmful substance produced by living organisms: like venom or certain bacteria.
Your body already has its own detoxification systems through the liver, kidneys, lungs, skin, and gut.
The basics still matter most:
water, sleep, movement, nourishment, nervous system regulation ✨
From a traditional perspective, practices like hijama (wet cupping) have been used for centuries as a way to support wellbeing. While science doesn’t support the idea of “removing toxins” in the way it’s often marketed, many people do use it as part of a broader self-care and recovery routine alongside movement and healthy habits.
Health is rarely about quick fixes.. it’s about consistency.
