I’m still figuring it out.

My son was diagnosed with Autism at age 11. Before that I KNEW he wasn’t neurotypical, but not how, exactly. It wasn’t ADHD alone, or anxiety, or defiance (although it is that as well)

Autism as a diagnosis helped us all get a framework to understand his unique brain.

Autism does NOT change that he is an affectionate, funny, intelligent kid who has as much potential as anyone else.

What does a postpartum doula even do? Truly, we do what you need to help you transition into motherhood in a peaceful and supported way.

Sometimes that means holding baby so you can get a nap and shower.
Other times it means you snuggle and bond with you baby while I cook dinner for the family.
It often means answering questions and providing resources.

If you are expecting, I'd love to talk to you about how a Doula can help you during the 4th Trimester!

Happy Monday! Things are crazy in my life right now, so as I grab my Starbucks to start my day, I'm wishing you all good things for the week ahead.

I joke, a little, but the truth is most women can benefit from some pelvic floor physio after giving birth. I'm happy to recommend a physio if you need one.

I get this ALL the time! Am I spoiling my baby by holding her. Will she get used to sleeping in my arms?

Newborns are needy, and the most important thing they learn when you respond to their cries is that you are there for them, and will answer their needs and take care of them. You create a secure attachment, and that is foundational.

You can NOT spoil that little human at this age, so go ahead and cuddle as much as you like.

And if you need someone to take care of YOU while you snuggle - DM me - I have some space still this summer!
