Meet Michael Ho - Executive Chef 🧑🏻‍🍳

My name is Michael Ho and I have been a chef for 7 years, working in various Michelin-starred restaurants, including L’Auberge de l’île Barbe and Paul Bocuse, and winning competitions such as le Rougié and Relaid Château. I am now chef de partie at Maison Boulud and executive chef at Better Being, where my mission is to share all my experiences so that you can tell your story through a dish.

Selma Kihal - Meditation and Sound Healing Teacher

Having always been creative and dreamy by nature, the desire for escape and travel has always been present throughout my life. During my most difficult moments, I remember always having the reflex to find my comfort within my inner world. I just had to close my eyes and in a short time I found myself in fantastic and wonderful places where my problems became non-existent. This visualization process was the foundation of my current practice. Without even really realizing it, my mind was preparing me and guiding me gently and gradually towards the world of well-being.

The severe anxiety I was going through is one of the experiences I am most grateful for. Without her, I would never have thought of finding refuge in the most peaceful and sacred sanctuary there is... My own heart. After a consistent work, spread over several years and including techniques of breathing, meditation and movement, I finally managed to tame my moods and my thoughts. With kindness, compassion and dedication, I finally become friends with my being.

Singing, having been my primary form of creation and expression, was an unexpected but incredibly rewarding addition to my practice and journey. Healing through music, sounds and vibrations was the touch that ignited my soul, adding a magical and mystical touch to an already incredibly rich and exciting practice.

Sharing this knowledge, this well-being and this little touch of magic with all beings open and ready to change, learn and receive is what fills my life with pure happiness. It will be my absolute pleasure to guide you to yourself. To guide you to the best guide, the best friend, the best lover, the best healer you could ever have… YOU!

Manal Al-Brahim - Dietitian

Ever since I was young, I loved cooking! I remember being 5 years old, following my grandmother around the souk (market) in search of diverse fresh ingredients, which we had fun transforming into traditional Moroccan dishes, filled with flavour and love. At that time my relationship with food was quite simple, I fed on culture, love and pleasure!

Growing up, I did competitive swimming and I trained every day, even twice a day sometimes, which was very hard on my body. My relationship with food then changed, I did eat for pleasure, but I always had the performance goal dictating all my meals.

When I was 18, I stopped all physical activities due to an injury and university which resulted in changes in my body: loss of muscle mass, weight gain, stretch marks, and a change in size...... A cloud of negativity weighed down on my eating habits: calorie counting, excessive physical exercise, food deprivation, food plan, and so on.

Your relationship with food can change a lot during the different stages of your life, my role is to ensure that it always remains positive and pleasant. Sharing my knowledge of nutrition and helping you lose that anxiety, confusion and frustration regarding your eating habits is what motivates me in my practice!
