We were so pleased to have McGill University students propagate and share plants with us. Today, we divided some large mother plants into many new buddies 🪴🌱

The and grow new stems by sending off new shoots of their rhizomes under the soil. The shoots are very large, and white i colour, and have a texture like ginger roots. The plants can be detached to form a separate plant. 🙂

and can form new plant divisions by growing new roots from aerial roots. These types of plants are "adventurous" and grow long vines and the bumpy nodes on the vines will develop into full root systems.

Nous avons été si heureux de travailler avec les étudiants à l'Université McGill aujourd'hui. Aujourd'hui, nous avons divisé quelques grandes plantes mère en de nouvelles propagations pour partager 🪴 🌱

Le et poussent de nouvelles tiges en envoyant de nouvelles tirs de leurs rhizomes sous le sol. Les tirs sont très grands, blancs en couleur, et ont une texture comme des racines de gingembre. Les plantes peuvent être détachées pour former une unité distincte. 🙂

et peuvent former de nouvelles divisions plantes en croissant de nouvelles racines provenant des racines aériennes. Ces types de plantes sont "aventureuses" et poussent de longues vignes et les noeuds sur les vignes se développeront en systèmes de racines complètes.

Join us at our next Plant and Craft Community Pop-Up Fundraiser in Montreal ahead of the Holiday Season! Rejoignez-nous à notre Pop-Up communautaire Plant and Craft à Montréal et aidez-nous à collecter des fonds pour notre mission 💚

This Marché Noël edition will be hosted at Leaves Host Cafe, 1800 avenue McGill College, Montréal, Quevec. The market will be open from Saturday 10:00 - 17:00 and Sunday 10:00 - 17:00.

There is no admission fee for entry, and everyone is welcome. Our fundraising team will have many plants to share and will help everyone sign up for our community membership cards.
