Should I get a rhinoplasty?

If you are unhappy with the shape of your nose in any way you may consider a cosmetic rhinoplasty. It could be your nostrils, your bridge, the overall size, the tip that bothers you…all areas can be altered with the right surgical techniques.

You may also be a candidate for a functional rhinoplasty if you have trouble breathing.

What can I expect to discuss during a surgical consultation?

During a surgical consultation with me, you will discuss what you would like to enhance about your face and why. You will also discuss what your goals are and which procedures can best be used to achieve those goals in the safest and most natural way.

I will have an open and honest conversation with you about what I recommend and, together, we will discuss what can be achieved. Additionally, we will discuss what is involved during surgery such as type of anaesthesia and recovery time.

What is your philosophy in your approach to rhinoplasty?

I believe that each person is uniquely beautiful. For this reason, my approach is completely individualised to address the needs of each and every patient. This takes into consideration ethnicity, overall body and facial features, gender as well as other individual characteristics. My goal is to achieve natural results and make each person feel like the most beautiful version of themselves.

Lots of delicate refinements and techniques were done here to create a natural looking and balanced nose. Here, the bridge was lowered and more support was given to the nasal tip. I think she looks 10 years younger.

It's important to individualize rhinoplasty surgery based on age. It is my personal opinion that too many contemporary rhinoplasty surgeons seem to give all their patients a one-size-fits-all nose.

This lovely patient was concerned about the slight sagging and wrinkling she began to see under her eyes. In order to address the loose skin, we chose to do a Lower Blepharoplasty. The incision is made right under the lower eyelashes and is barely visible once healed. This after photo was taken approximately 1 year post procedure and you can see that she looks refreshed, younger and more awake!

Procedure: Lower Blepharoplasty

Goal: Remove excess skin from underneath the eye

Length of Procedure: 1 hour

Downtime: Minimal

How long is a consultation?

The length of your consultation appointment with me will depend on your cosmetic and medical concerns. Expect a consultation to be approximately 30 minutes. A surgical consultation will typically take longer than a consultation for a non-surgical procedure.

Welcome new followers! I thought you might want to know a little bit about me. I’m a board certified Otolaryngologist – Head and Neck Surgeon specializing in facial plastic and reconstructive surgery in Montreal, Quebec.

I completed my undergraduate degree in Physiology with a minor in the Social Studies of Medicine at McGill University in Montreal, Canada. I then received my MD degree from McGill University in Montreal, Canada. Fascinated by the intricate anatomy of the head and neck, I continued on to complete my residency at McGill University’s Otolaryngology program. I then went on to complete a Fellowship with the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the Ohio State University’s Wexner Medical Center. There, I had the privilege of training under two renowned Doctors in the Facial Plastics field, Dr. Mark Sullivan and Dr. Steven Smith. More info to come!
