Shriners Hospitals for Children - Canada is providing pediatric orthopaedic ultraspecialized care for complex disorders such as osteogenesis imperfecta (brittle bone disease), severe spinal and limb anomalies, reconstructive surgery and rehabilitation. Shriners Hospitals for Children - Canada has delivered pioneering, patient centered, compassionate care to patients and their families from Canada, the United States and beyond in a healing environment since 1925. Based in Montreal, it is a bilingual institution providing pediatric orthopaedic treatment
for patients with highly complex conditions, including scoliosis, spina bifida and other spinal malformations, osteogenesis imperfecta (brittle bone disease), metabolic bone disease, skeletal growth abnormalities and congenital anomalies of the musculoskeletal system. Shriners Hospitals for Childrens - Canada may be small, but its reach is great. Children from across Canada, the U.S. and around the world have benefited from the hospital’s ground-breaking research and innovative treatments, both in Montreal and in their own communities. Above and beyond world-class care, they
have found a home away from home, a place where their disability does not define who they are, but is merely a stepping stone to becoming the most productive, active and autonomous adults possible.

And the winners are…! 🎉

We’re thrilled to announce the lucky winners of our parent appreciation contest! We had the pleasure of hosting Marie from 105.1 MIKE FM, who joined us to help draw the winning names — with a little help from some of our amazing patients in the clinic! ❤️👏 It was a special moment filled with smiles all around.

A heartfelt thank you to Groupe Grandio, and their wonderful restaurants Gibby’s and Moishes, for this generous gift to our families. We are also incredibly grateful to Mike FM for partnering with us to make this possible. Your kindness helps create meaningful moments for the parents we are so proud to serve.

Thank you to everyone who participated! 🎁💫

💗🩺 Today, our team is proudly wearing pink in support of Pink Shirt Day — a nationwide initiative dedicated to bullying prevention and promoting kindness at school, at work and online.

This year’s theme, “Sprinkle Kindness,” is a reminder that small acts of compassion can make a big difference. As a hospital specialized in the care of children with rare and complex conditions, fostering a safe, inclusive and respectful environment for our patients and families is at the heart of what we do. 💞

Let’s continue to sprinkle kindness every day! ✨

What a wonderful Valentine’s Day week filled with love and joy at the hospital❣️

To begin, the Daughters of the Nile from the Oasis Chapter warmed the hearts of our patients, families and employees with a delicious chocolate fountain and fresh fruit. 🍫🍌🍓✨ Thank you for this thoughtful gesture!

A big thank you as well to our Social Activities Committee, who once again went above and beyond by organizing a Valentine’s Day gift basket draw for our employees. 🎁💌 Congratulations to our two winners: Jean-Pascal and Denis!

To wrap up the week on the same theme, our patients had lots of fun in Child Life while taking part in the game “Choose Your Heart.” 🩷

Thank you to everyone who helped make these special moments possible! 🥰🌹

When a child is hospitalized, emotional well-being matters just as much as medical care. This Psychology Month, we’re highlighting the vital role psychological support plays in helping children and families cope, build resilience, and feel supported throughout their care journey. 💙

However, I know that beyond physical treatments, it is just as essential to care for a child’s psychological well-being. My goal is for every child to feel heard, un...
