Passport & Zippy's Programmes - Canada

Passport & Zippy's Programmes - Canada Our programmes develop strategies and in elementary school to help them cope with life’s challenges.

Our programmes promote emotional well-being by helping children develop more helpful coping and social skills. Coping skills are defined as the means one uses to adapt to a new or difficult situation. Children who develop a wider range of coping skills early on are better equipped to deal with challenges and problems they will encounter throughout life. The programme also develops children’s socia

l skills and improves the quality of their relationships with their peers. It encourages cooperation between children and fosters critical thinking. Studies show that the development of socio-emotional skills plays an important part in improving school performance and classroom climate. Additionally, the development of social and individual skills in children is often related to lower bullying behavior. Running in more than 30 countries, Zippy's Friends has been evaluated in various cultural settings and is recognized by the World Health Organization (WHO) and by the Public Health Agency of Canada.
