Our community is founded upon the guiding principle that it is not important whether you are certain about a career in medicine, but rather, that ample resources should be available so that all students can make an educated decision about their future. We feel very strongly that in order to know whether a career in medicine is best suited to you, an understanding of the day to day occurrences in the lives of professionals and trainees is crucial. To address this need, our organization has partnered with the McGill University Health Center (MUHC) system of hospitals to offer the physician shadowing program and professional speaker series. To all aspiring med students, MTL-SONO is recruiting standardized patients (SPs) for this year's conference which will be taking place on September 30th and October 1st at the Jewish General Hospital. We offer a 100$/day compensation and a free lunch on each day. In addition, this is a really great opportunity to learn bedside ultrasound and its many incredible uses, while also getting a chance to meet upper year students, residents, and staff physicians who you will likely run into throughout your training at McGill!
