⚪️Workout recovery can be helpful in:
👉🏽supporting or enhancing muscle protein synthesis
👉🏽aiding in muscle recovery in a way that reduces muscle soreness
👉🏽reducing muscle fatigue

⚪️ My recommendations is to eat a meal that contains both carbohydrates and protein within two hours of your exercise (or a snack before a meal can be taken). Good post-workout food choices include:
👉🏽Yogurt and fruit
👉🏽Peanut butter sandwich
👉🏽Low-fat chocolate milk and pretzels
👉🏽Post-workout recovery smoothie
👉🏽Turkey on whole-grain bread with vegetables

What if food is not possible ⁉️⁉️ While food options should be your first go to, sometimes life happens and a protein supplement can serve as an OCCASIONAL replacement.

🥩 Protein supplement. Protein is perhaps the most useful supplement for muscle recovery and faster repair.

⚪️ Others supplements to consider:

🧪 Branched-chain amino acid (BCAA) supplement are essential amino acids that the body cannot make. They aid in recovery , soreness and also promote muscle growth while reducing muscle fatigue.

🐠 Fatty acid supplement supply energy, but also reduce inflammation. A medium-chain triglyceride (MCT) fatty acid helps by reducing lactic acid buildup. An omega 3 fatty acid reduces muscle fatigue and muscle soreness. It also offers injury protection.

💊 Magnesium supplement assists with muscle recovery by helping them relax. In fact, if you don't have enough magnesium, you have a greater chance of having muscle cramps.

💊 Taking a multivitamin regularly can boost recovery too. This all-inclusive vitamin contains calcium and vitamin D, both of which help create strong muscle and bones. Vitamin A promotes protein synthesis and CoQ10 reduces muscle fatigue.

There are two kinds of trans fat: Natural and industrial trans fat.

The natural trans fat are contained in dairy products or in the meal of ruminant animals like cows 🐮

The industrial trans fat are the largest proportion. The value of this product for industries is the fact that they have longer shelf life and they’re also cheaper. They are found in products like margarine, vanaspati ghee and they’re in baked products such as donuts or fried fiid that you often find in street food 🍱

Even though you may feel fine, there’s ALOT going on inside your body that will eventually hurt you if you don’t take steps to stop it now.

🌺 Beetroot Hummus:

INGREDIENTS
🟨 250g of cooked chickpeas 🥘
🟨 80g of cooked beetroot 🥣
🟨 1 tablespoon of Tahini 🥄
🟨 3 crushed garlic cloves 🧄
🟨 2 tablespoon of lemon 🍋
Add Olive oil🫒 and salt🧂 (optional)

DIRECTION
Mix all ingredients together (Easy, Peasy 😉)

🟨 The colour of the puree will depend on how much beetroot you add! Which depends on your personal preference.
