Monday night, April 22, Pat&Neil took part in a tribute to the music of Patsy Cline, "Walkin' After Midnight" at the Ryman in Nashville. Watch for it to be broadcast on PBS Great Performances at a future date. They performed Patsy's song, Imagine That.

I love granite Polymer Clay. I'm pretty happy with how this piece turned out. This is a mix of granite fimo and translucent Cernit clay - fully hand sculpted.

Creating with polymer clay again... using inspiration from a technique done by Ford & Forlano, I created a small piece using only one colour, creating textured swirls. I think I like it 😀 used a blend of fimo & cernit.

Happy Easter! As some of you may know I have collected and created eggs for quite some time now. Here are some that I have created. Each has (or had) a real egg at its centre. The first image is of an Ostrich egg covered with a thin layer of mokume gane cane created from a mix of colours & translucent clays. Next to it is a Hen's egg done in the same manner. The following are a mix of eggs that represent emotions (eggmotions) see if you can guess the emotions they represent. Others are lattice cutwork, plays on colour blends and mokume gane cane layers.

Working with polymer clay again. This time inspired by the autumn leaves. 🍂 more specifically, oak leaves. I wanted to give them one colour in order to have focus on the textures. This is a mix of Cernit, Fimo and Sculpey- I wanted to benefit from what I like in each of these brands. I mixed various browns, black & metallic (mica) clays because I wanted to give the finish a look of aged bronze. Not sure where this will go but this is the start....

I made the beads for this piece completely free hand. Creating the was incredibly therapeutic. The resulting necklace is still one of my favourites

Here is something done 4 years ago on a found piece of tree root. Cleaned up and heat dried the wood on low in the oven. Then used translucent polymer clay as a fill following the natural lines of the wood. Applied copper foil and finished with liquid clay to give it the appearance of flowing metal.
