That’s where Energy Recovery Ventilators (ERVs) come in. They bring in fresh outdoor air while recovering heat and humidity, keeping spaces both efficient and comfortable.

A new “force field” cooling system has been developed that can cut energy use in half, boost efficiency, and even switch between heating and cooling — all while using only tiny amounts of electricity.

This breakthrough has the potential to save billions in costs, reduce gigatons of CO₂ emissions, and make buildings like universities, hospitals, and data centers much greener.

⚠️ Not all refrigerant cylinders are safe.
👉 Swipe through to learn what’s happening, why it matters, and how the industry is responding.

As the HVAC industry shifts to new low-GWP refrigerants, some unsafe or counterfeit cylinders are slipping into the supply chain.

These noncompliant cylinders can leak, use unsafe relief devices, and put both technicians and buildings at risk.

🌍 As future engineers, understanding these risks today prepares us to build a safer and greener HVAC industry tomorrow.
