Here are a few words about Thaï massage - Traditional Thai massage is a form of clothed, full-body massage which uses compression and mobilization to balance tensions within the body. Part assisted stretching, part guided somatic reeducation, a session takes place on a mat rather than upon a table, and can last between 90min and 4hrs.
Folks can now request a massage (90 or 120 min.) with me (Wednesdays or Thursdays, 10h-17h30) at Lotus Palm Montreal (5244 Saint-Urbain Street) by calling (514) 270-5713
Alternatively, you can receive a massage in the comfort of your home in Montreal, the other days of the week. I move around with the massage mats:
• Space required: approx. 3 m x 2.5 m
• Fixed fare including taxi fare
Please contact me by Messenger.
Upon request, an RMPQ official receipt is issued.
In preparation for your session, here’s some helpful information:
- Thai Massage is a clothed, full-body massage. As you relax during your massage, your body temperature may drop. In the interest of comfort, warmth & to avoid skin friction, please bring a pair of clean socks; comfortable, loose long sleeves; & long pants which allow for movement. Also, please refrain from eating a large meal in the hour before your rendez-vous.
I have been practicing Thai Yoga Massage for more than 20 years. Coming to body-work from contemporary dance, my approach is highly influenced by my experiences with the partnering techniques of Contact Improvisation. Before embarking upon my career as an artist, I trained at York University, where I studied pedagogy, anatomy, dance kinesiology, and the prevention & treatment of dance injuries, later assisting noted educator and dance science specialist Donna Krasnow MSc PhD in her work both locally and abroad. In the late 1990s, I encountered Thai Massage via the practice of neuroscientist Blake Martin PhD, later studying under him at Lotus Palm Toronto.
Thank you for booking a Thai Massage with me.
