Voici de la prêle que j'ai récoltée, séchée et mixée pour compléter ma réserve de tisanes.

Je voulais aussi exprimer quelques préoccupations profondes. Aborder le sentiment d'impuissance face aux événements mondiaux signifie s'engager pour l'autonomisation, partout où c'est possible.

L'apprentissage favorise la prise de conscience. La prise de conscience de l'histoire du Canada, des terres non cédées et des actes de cruauté. Aujourd'hui, je peux exercer ma compréhension, ma compassion et mes actes de bonté envers tous afin de faire la différence, même modestement.

Je crois aux principes de la communication non violente. Je crois au pouvoir de l'humanité. Je crois en l'espoir, l'amour, le courage et la paix.

I also wanted to express some heartfelt concerns. Addressing powerlessness in world events means addressing empowerment wherever possible.

Learning brings up awareness. Awareness of Canadian history, unceded land, and acts of cruelty. Today, I can practice my understanding, compassion, and acts of kindness to all to make the little difference I can.

I believe in the principles of nonviolent communication. I believe in the power of humanity. I believe in hope, love, courage, and peace.

I've been watching You're My Hero and thoroughly enjoying this show. The characters capture comedy, human nature, honesty, and societal awkwardness. Most importantly, the script brings personality and life to some of the most marginalized: people with disabilities.

I've been learning a lot about this subject. It started by a random chance of seeking out a library book on doula -the only one that came up was where an essay brought up the idea of Disability Doulas providing emotional support). The book brought tears to my eyes several times; the empathic connection of shared dreams and realities was intense.

I was contacted to present a webinar at a university on the health components of those living with disabilities and their caregivers. Spoiler alert: the care needed is the same, whether for the one requiring care and the one providing care.
