So I just couldn’t wait to try jello-ing some shakes and it worked like a charm. I’m pretty excited about this!!

1- Disolve the gelatine (1 envelope of Knox Gelatine) in 1 cup of hot water. Stir

2-Make your 2 shake with 2 scoops F1
and 2 Scoops of Protein in 1 cup of cold water.

3- mix the cool shake into the warm gelatine.

I made the Praline with Vanilla protein on the first layer, let it solidify in the fridge for a few hours. Then I made a Chocolate F1 & Chocolate Protein mix.

It’s so good!! May go for a third layer next time! I’m having fun!

Good digestive health plays a crucial role in overall well-being. Here are a few points that highlight it’s importance:

👉Nutrient Absorption: The digestive system is responsible for breaking down food into essential nutrients (vitamins, minerals, carbohydrates, proteins, lipids) that the body uses for energy, growth and tissue repair.

👉Immune system support: Much of the immune system is found in the gut. A healthy gut microbiota helps protect the body against infections and disease.

👉Hormonal Balance: Digestion also affects the production of certain hormones, including those related to hunger and satiety, which has a direct impact on weight and appetite management.

👉Mental health: There is a strong connection between the gut and the brain, often referred to as the "gut-brain axis". An unhealthy gut can contribute to mood disorders, including anxiety and depression.

Tex-Mex Stuffed Peppers 😋

It’s getting cooler where I live so I love the comfort of cooking in the oven for the cozy warmth and aromas that fill our home, and then the delicious and healthy meal that follows! Enjoy!

INGREDIENTS:

🫑 8 Peppers
2 lb ground turkey or other lean meat (or TVP for Vegetarians)
2 onions, diced
4 cloves crushed garlic
2 cups of pre-cooked Quinoa
1 cup of corn, (drained if from a can)
1 jar salsa
1 teaspoon cumin
1 teaspoon oregano
1 teaspoon paprika
1 teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon black pepper
Parmesan cheese

PREPARATION

1. Preheat the oven to 400°F/200°C.
2. Cut off the tops of each pepper. Remove the seeds.
3. Place the peppers in a roasting pan and set aside.
4. Sauté the ground meat and break it up. Drain fat off and place in a large bowl.
5. Sauté the onion, cumin, oregano, paprika, salt, and black pepper, until the onions have softened, about 2-3 minutes.
5. Add the meat into the bowl with the onions. Add the quinoa, corn, garlic and salsa and stir until evenly combined.
8. Spoon the mixture evenly into the peppers.
9. Bake for 30-35 minutes, until the bell peppers have softened and wilted slightly.

Sprinkle the top with grated Parmesan cheese just before serving.
