Hardstyle Kettlebell Mtl is a school where we teach people how to move better and encourage them to move often. We train movement patterns rather than muscle groups, and pay special attention to how each movement is performed, reinforcing quality over quantity. We emphasize and teach the skill of strength and flexibility/mobility, and strive for balance and symmetry in each, like Yin and Yang. Our

training philosophy can be compared to traditional Martial Arts because we challenge our students to “practice” rather than “workout”. We are about the underlying principles, not just the tools used. We train and teach through the use of minimal equipment, such as kettlebells and one’s own bodyweight because we believe that simplicity is key and less is more when focusing on attaining results. Our classes and programs are fun, effective, unique and stimulating for everyone, from beginners to athletes and all ages groups. We never compromise quality and our number one concern is “do no harm”. We are known for making strength and flexibility easy and attainable to anyone, and most of all enjoyable for life. Everyone that comes through our door goes though a movement assessment and is consulted for a training program to fit their schedule and budget. We set goals for our students and standards for them to achieve. We work our hardest to attain them together. For rates and hours, please visit www.hardstylekettlebell.ca

Most men over 40 are not underworked.

They’re over-stressed, under-recovered, and stuck in random high-intensity workouts that leave them destroyed.

You do NOT need to feel wrecked after every session to get stronger.

Power training done correctly builds:

- explosiveness
- strength
- athleticism
- recovery
- durability

without crushing your nervous system.

Simple.
Explosive.
Recoverable.
Repeatable.

That’s how men should train after 40.

THE FLOW COMPLEX 🏙️

One bell. Six movements. Single reps. Filmed in the back alleys of Montreal — graffiti, trash, real city texture and all.

The sequence:
• Swing
• Clean
• Press
• Squat
• Sn**ch
• Windmill

One rep of each, flowing into the next. This isn't about grinding — it's art, cardio, skill, and strength in one continuous practice. The kind of training that keeps you sharp, mobile, and powerful all at once.

And yeah — you'll see me get cut off mid-flow when someone walked through the shot. I kept my cool and kept going. That's the city. That's real life. Sometimes the best practice happens with interruptions.

Save this and flow through it in your next session 👊

The goblet squat. Master this before you touch anything heavier.

If you can't squat deep with a bell at your chest, you've got no business loading a barbell.

The breakdown:
Bell by the horns, tight to the chest, elbows down
Sit straight down — knees track over toes, push them out.

Go as deep as you can keep a flat back.

Drive through the whole foot, squeeze the glutes at the top.

Clean reps. Full depth. The bell keeps you honest.

What's your squat depth like right now? 👇

THE FOUNDRY 🏭 — build real muscle without the gym.

No commute. No waiting for a machine. No 12-exercise routine you'll never finish.

Two bells. Four movements. Twenty minutes. That's the whole workout.

The complex:
• 5 double cleans
• 5 double presses
• 5 double front squats
• 5 double rows

That's one round. Do 3 to 5, resting fully between each. Heavy, deliberate reps — pick bells you can press for a clean 5.

This is for the man who's done with the excuse that he doesn't have time. You don't need a gym membership or an hour you don't have. You need two bells, a bit of space, and twenty honest minutes.

Build size. Save time. Train anywhere.

Save this 👊 Tag someone who keeps saying he's too busy.

The 5-Minute Swing Test 👇 100 swings. See what you're made of.

Read carefully — this is a TEST, not your weekly training.

✅ Who it's for: Men already strong with the 32kg swing (two-hand or one-arm). That's the entry ticket.

🔑 The bell: Test with the 24kg — one size lighter. The lighter bell lets you keep real speed and power the whole way.

The protocol:
• 5-minute timer
• Every :30 → 10 swings
• 10 rounds = 100 swings

Yes, this is glycolytic. Yes, you'll feel the burn, the lactic acid, the breathlessness. That's exactly what makes it a TEST.

🛑 But technique is the only stop sign. The moment your power drops or a rep goes ugly — you're done.
You never push through bad reps.

This isn't something you do every week. It's a benchmark you visit once in a while — to see how far your training has carried you.

100 clean swings with the 24kg. That's the standard.

Can you pass it?
