NATIONAL: Health Canada Issues Recall for Acetaminophen and Melatonin Products Due to Labelling Errors
On April 16, 2025, Health Canada announced a recall of two over-the-counter products because of labelling inaccuracies that could lead to improper dosing. Specifically, a batch of Laboratoire Riva Inc.'s acetaminophen caplets may contain lower-strength pills than indicated, and Life Brand's Timed Release melatonin tablets have been recalled due to incorrect usage instructions. These errors pose potential risks to patient safety, prompting the recall to prevent misuse.
