Sunday Script Story: The Cup on the Counter

There’s a cup sitting on your kitchen counter.

Not fancy. Not new. Just a cup you’ve walked past all week.

Every day you told yourself you’d wash it “when you had time.”
But the week kept happening ,the emails, the errands, the mental clutter, the tiny fires you kept putting out.
So the cup stayed there.
Not hurting anything, not urgent, just… waiting.

This morning, you finally picked it up.
It took ten seconds.
Ten seconds to do the thing you’ve been mentally carrying for six days.

And that’s when it hit you:
Most of what drains you isn’t big or dramatic.
It’s the small, unfinished things you keep stepping around ,the conversations you avoid, the boundaries you delay, the needs you silence, the care you postpone.

Today’s reminder is simple:
Your peace expands every time you handle the small things you’ve been pretending not to see.

Not because you “should.”
But because you deserve a life that feels lighter than the one you’ve been carrying.

Let this Sunday be the day you pick up one cup, literal or emotional , and clear it out of your way.
