Prasiolite is a quieter stone, but one that tends to stand out once you notice it.

With its soft green tones—ranging from pale, almost translucent green to slightly deeper earthy shades—it carries a different feel than more vibrant or saturated stones. It’s actually a variety of quartz, often created when amethyst is naturally or heat-treated, shifting its structure and color into this more subtle green expression.

Energetically, prasiolite is often associated with balance, integration, and a sense of alignment between thoughts and emotions. Where some stones feel energizing or grounding, this one tends to sit somewhere in the middle—steady, clear, and cohesive.

It’s often chosen by people who are looking for:
• A calmer, more balanced mindset
• Clarity without intensity
• A feeling of being more “settled” or centered

In the home, prasiolite works well in spaces where you want a sense of ease and clarity:
• Workspaces for focus without overwhelm
• Living areas to support a calm, balanced atmosphere
• Personal spaces where you want things to feel a little more grounded and organized

From a Feng Shui perspective, green stones are often connected to growth, renewal, and steady development—making prasiolite a nice addition to areas related to personal progress, health, or new beginnings.

For care and cleansing:
• Physically, clean gently with a soft cloth
• Energetically, it can be refreshed with smoke, sound, or by placing it in a quiet, intentional space
• Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight, as softer colors may fade over time

Each piece will vary in tone and clarity, from more translucent stones to those with internal inclusions or natural structure.

Right now we have a variety available:
• Geodes
• Tumbled polished stones
• Raw pieces
• Clusters
• Towers
• Spheres

If you’ve never worked with prasiolite before, it’s a really approachable stone to start with—subtle, balanced, and easy to incorporate into your space

We’re open Wednesday–Sunday from 12–5pm and would love to see you.

Why Incense Shows Up Everywhere

Incense appears in temples, homes, ceremonies, and daily life across cultures that developed independently of one another.

That’s not coincidence.

For thousands of years, different regions used the materials available to them. In the Middle East, frankincense and myrrh were burned during offerings and purification rituals. In India, sandalwood became closely associated with meditation and temple practices. In Central and South America, copal resin was used in ceremonies to mark transitions and sacred events.

The materials were different, but the function remained the same.

Burn something aromatic, and the environment shifts.

The air feels heavier or softer. The space becomes defined. The boundary between “before” and “after” becomes clearer.

Over time, this consistent sensory shift became associated with specific moments—beginnings, endings, prayer, focus, grief, celebration. But those meanings were layered on top of something more fundamental.

Incense works because it alters the conditions of the space you are in. It gives the body and mind a signal: something is changing.

Everything else builds on top of that.

Suggested pairing:
Frankincense + quiet sitting before starting your day to create a clear mental entry point

Ancient Language, Modern Recognition

The chakra system was developed long before modern science.
And yet, it maps closely onto what we now understand about the body:

how it stabilizes,
how it breathes,
how it regulates,
how it perceives.

What was once described as energy can also be understood as electrical signaling, chemical communication, and dynamic regulation.

But reducing it entirely to mechanics misses something essential—
because the lived experience of these systems still feels like energy.

Chakras are not fixed points.

They are patterns in motion.

They shift with breath, posture, stress, attention, and environment.
They respond. They adapt. They change.

They are where the body, mind, and awareness meet in real time.

The chakra system does not need to be divided into “real” or “not real.”

It is both:
• a symbolic map
• and a reflection of lived physiology

An ancient framework that continues to resonate because it describes something true:

The human body is not just structure.
It is a dynamic, responsive, interconnected system—experienced as both form and energy.

And the chakras are one of the oldest ways we have ever tried to describe that.

Black tourmaline is one of those stones people tend to come back to again and again.

Deep black with a naturally striated surface, it has a very grounded, solid presence. It forms in long, column-like structures, often with vertical lines running the length of the stone—something that becomes especially noticeable in raw pieces.

Black tourmaline is a boron silicate mineral that forms in igneous and metamorphic environments, often growing alongside quartz in pegmatites. Its structure gives it a weight and density that feels noticeably different from many other stones.

Energetically, it’s most often associated with grounding, protection, and energetic boundaries. It’s one of the stones people reach for when things feel chaotic, overwhelming, or unsettled. Rather than softening or diffusing, it tends to feel more stabilizing—like bringing everything back down to a steady baseline.

Because of that, it’s commonly placed near entrances, workspaces, or anywhere the energy of a space feels busy or inconsistent. It’s also one of the few stones people tend to keep close by throughout the day, especially when they’re looking for something that feels steady and supportive.

In the home, it has a very practical presence. It doesn’t draw attention in the same way as more colorful stones, but it anchors a space in a way that’s easy to feel once it’s there.

For care and cleansing, it’s relatively low maintenance. A soft cloth is usually all that’s needed for physical cleaning, and energetically it can be refreshed with smoke, sound, or simply by placing it somewhere calm and undisturbed. It’s a durable stone, but like anything natural, it’s still best handled with care.

Right now we have a wide variety of black tourmaline in stock, from raw pieces that show its natural formation to more refined shapes that highlight its structure in a different way.

It’s one of those stones that tends to make more sense once you’ve seen and felt it in person.

We’re open Wednesday–Sunday from 12–5pm and would love to see you.

At the base of the body, the Root anchors us. It is tied to the pelvic floor, the sacrum, and the Sacral Plexus—a network deeply involved in stability and survival. When this region is supported, the body feels grounded. When it is not, everything above it becomes less steady.

Just above it, the Sacral center brings movement into that foundation. Located in the hips and lower abdomen, and associated with the Lumbosacral Plexus, it governs fluidity—how we move, adapt, and relate. When it flows, both motion and emotion feel natural. When it tightens, both can become restricted.

The Solar Plexus, in the upper abdomen, is where breath, pressure, and activation converge. Here, the diaphragm works alongside the Celiac Plexus, a dense network of nerves tied to stress and response. This is often experienced as personal power—the ability to act, to organize movement, and to direct energy outward.

At the center of the chest, the Heart connects breath to feeling. The rib cage, lungs, and heart interact with the Cardiac Plexus and the vagus nerve, shaping both physiological rhythm and emotional openness. When this space expands, connection deepens. When it closes, both breath and emotion become constrained.

The Throat translates internal experience into expression. Through the structures of the neck, airway, and the passage of the Brachial Plexus, it governs voice, communication, and the ability to express truth. Tension here often reflects what is held back—physically and emotionally.

The Third Eye, centered in the forehead, corresponds to the Prefrontal Cortex and deeper brain structures that organize perception. This is where patterns are recognized, where meaning is formed, and where clarity emerges—or becomes clouded.

Finally, the Crown represents integration. Associated with the Cerebral Cortex and large-scale brain networks, it is not a single function but a state—where all systems come together into a sense of coherence and connection.

A Current Through the Body

Taken together, these centers form a continuous pathway:

From stability…
to movement…
to action…
to connection…
to expression…
to perception…
to integration.

Gratitude doesn’t need to be dramatic to be effective.

In fact, it works best when it’s subtle.

The brain learns through repetition. When you consistently notice small positive moments, you strengthen neural pathways associated with recognition of safety, ease, and satisfaction. This can gradually reduce reactivity and improve emotional regulation.

The key is scale.

If you only look for big, meaningful moments, you’ll miss most of what’s available. But if you train yourself to notice what is slightly better, your range of awareness expands quickly.

This is less about meaning—and more about attention.

Journal Prompt:
What is one small thing from today that made your experience even slightly better?

Not important.
Not life-changing.

Just noticeable.

A temperature shift.
A conversation.
A moment of quiet.
A task going more smoothly than expected.

Catch it. Name it. Write it down.

Time suggestion:
2–5 minutes, at the end of your day

Mantra:
“Small things count.”

Crystal pairing:
Citrine — often linked with lightness and clarity; pairs well with noticing subtle positive shifts
