West Park Crossing Retirement Community was designed with the "aging in place" philosphy in mind; all of our suites and rooms have been planned so that if a resident's health declines over time, the resident does not necessarily have to move - in most situations, we can bring the additional care to the resident.
All of our suites' bathrooms have been oversized so that if mobility decreases and a resident later needs a walker, wheelchair, or even a care aid to assist them, there is adequate room to comfortably maneuver. Each bathroom includes a large, walk-in shower so there are no barriers to step over, and residents who may require a shower chair may bring one of their choosing to assist them. Grab bars have been installed, and there are also call strings in each bathroom for assistance.
For those who would like a soak, we also have a large bather tub with a convenient access side-door, making bathtime easy and enjoyable.
For more information or to arrange a tour of our facility, please call us at 306-694-4744.

Please call to make a reservation for your meal; we would also be happy to provide you with a tour of our beautiful community. We can be reached at 306-694-4744.
Caregiver Respite and Short-Stay Options
Looking after a family member who requires assistance with their care can be physically and emotionally exhausting. Respite care allows caregivers to break from their usual responsibilities, while they renew their energy so they may continue to provide quality care.
West Park Crossing offers fully furnished respite and short-stay suites for independant and assisted living, as well as for those requiring memory care support. Our licensed staff and nurses are on-site 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to provide care and support. This includes help with the activities of daily living, bathing and hygiene, dressing, assistance with medication administration, and more, plus three chef-prepared meals each day, activities and entertainment, scheduled local transportation, as well as weekly housekeeping and linen service.
Even the most independant seniors may need some extra help after hospitalization or time in rehab. Or perhaps the family is going out of town and needs the peace of mind knowing their family member is in good hands and having a great time.
Prior to the start of a short stay or respite care, our Resident Care Manager will create a personalized service plan that focuses on our guest's individual needs and preferences. For further information, please contact us at 306-694-4744.
The Arbor offers Moose Jaw's finest memory care options for those with Alzheimer's and dementia. Inviting common areas, its own courtyard and garden area, life-skills stations, and activity rooms are amongst its many features, all within a secured environment.
The Arbor also has its own spacious dining room, with delicious fresh food prepared by our executive chef.
Our Connections program focuses on purposeful, meaningful activities and outings that allow residents to remain engaged and enjoy the world around them, regardless of the degree of memory loss.
The Arbor side of our building serves residents with dementia and Alzheimer's disease, as well as offering respite care and short stays.
The Arbor features comfortable studio suites with private bathrooms (299 square feet in size), as well as adjoining rooms (248 square feet each) with shared bathrooms that are perfect for couples.
Monthly rent includes three delicious meals served daily in the Arbor dining room, made from scratch by our dining services team, weekly housekeeping and linen service, utilities, activities, transportation, and personal care services.
West Park Crossing Retirement Community provides the finest options in independant and assisted living, personal care, and memory care.
The Garden side of our building provides retirement living at its best for persons who are independant and for those who need support to maintain independance. Our rooms have been designed with the "aging in place" philosophy in mind, and if a resident requires additional individalized care, it is provided to them in their own suite.
The Garden offers studio, one and two bedroom suites, all with a kitchenette (includes full-sized refridgerator and microwave). Studios range from 317 to 380 square feet, one bedrooms from 432 to 761 square feet, and two bedrooms from 748 to 797 square feet.
All bathrooms feature walk-in showers, grab bars, and large layouts, so that if a resident's mobility later declines, the space will easily allow for a walker, wheelchair, or care aid, without the resident having to move to a different location.
We currently offer two fully furnished short-stay suites on our Garden side and one short-stay suite on our Arbor side. These rooms are perfect for respite care, especially over the summer months when family caregivers may be away. As well, they can be used by potential residents to get a feel of what living at West Park Crossing would be like. Short-stay rooms can be reserved with weekly or monthly bookings.
At West Park Crossing, we have some terrific outdoor spaces on both our Garden (independant living) and Arbor (memory care) sides of our building. Both include landscaping, paved pathways, and seating areas to safely enjoy the outdoors.
As well, we also have our bus for scheduled outings and sightseeing around the community, as well as for appointments.
Our dining room has many options for plated meals served by our Resident Care Aids, buffet-style dining for special events, and also a private dining room for eight, available for birthdays, anniversaries, and other occassions.
Mail is delivered right to West Park Crossing, and residents have their own secure mail boxes just off of the main lobby area.
Our second floor features a sunny exercise room where our activities director hosts a variety of exercises to keep fun and fitness at the forefront.
We also have a small chapel for quiet meditation and to hold special services.
Our second floor has several lovely multi-function areas, including a comfortable lounge with TV and fireplace, outdoor screened balcony, and activity room - a great place for crafts, card tournaments, or even meeting space.
Spa W is another of our amenities, featuring a hair/barber salon, nail care, as well as physio and massage therapy in a beautiful and relaxing environment. We believe that social interaction is also an integral part of overall well-being, so we have a cheerful waiting area where residents and guests can chat and mingle between appointments.
Our building has a number of comfortable sitting areas throughout the facility, connected by wide hallways with railings, filled with natural light streaming in through the many windows. Our common areas are perfect places to play cards, do a puzzle, or catch up with family and friends.
Our second floor Prairie Theatre features regular movie nights and is also available by request to watch favourite films with friends and family anytime!
Our beautiful Bistro common room welcomes residents and their guests with its sunny windows and cheerful atmosphere.
