This International Women’s Day, I’m feeling especially grateful for the incredible community we are part of.

When I first moved to Moosomin, I was welcomed with warmth and kindness that made it feel like home so quickly. What stood out most is how this town showed up for one another. People celebrate wins, encourage new ideas, and lift each other up along the way.

Our community is filled with strong, creative, and inspiring women. So many small local businesses here are women owned and built with passion, courage, and a whole lot of heart. It’s beautiful to see how people in this town continue to support those ventures by choosing local, cheering each other on, and helping dreams grow.

I am also so grateful for the friendships that have grown here. What started as a new place to live has become a community of kind and welcoming women I am lucky to now call good friends.

Today, and every day, we celebrate the women who make our community what it is. Supportive, encouraging, and full of possibility. Happy International Women’s Day

Last Week of Classes Before Mat Leave

This week marks our final yoga classes before I take a short mat leave to welcome baby #3

I’m so incredibly grateful for this community and the time we’ve shared on the mat. Your support, encouragement, and presence mean more to me than I can say.

If you’ve been thinking about coming to class, this is your gentle nudge to join us one more time before we pause. Let’s move, breathe, and soak in these final practices together.

Classes are set to return in the spring and I can’t wait to flow with you again. In the meantime, be sure to keep following along for updates — including details about our Pilates classes coming soon!

Thank you for holding space for me during this beautiful season of life.

Today is Bell Let’s Talk Day. A day dedicated to opening conversations around mental health and helping break down the stigma that can keep people feeling silent or alone.

This year’s theme of Taking a Moment for Mental Health feels especially meaningful to me right now. In these later weeks of pregnancy, when emotions feel bigger and the to-do list feels endless, I’ve been leaning into small, mindful moments to help me stay grounded when overwhelm shows up.

That moment might look like checking in with my body and asking “What does my body need right now?”. Sometimes it’s pausing for a few mindful breaths to reset my nervous system. Other times it is being honest about my capacity for the day and reprioritizing instead of trying to do it all.

What I’ve noticed is these moments do more than just help in the moment. Over time, they have helped me recognize when my stress levels are creeping up so I can adjust before it becomes burnout. They create space for me to respond rather than react. They also help me to reset and feel more grounded and connected, which can make those difficult days feel more manageable. They remind us that we are allowed to slow down, to adjust expectations, and to care for ourselves without guilt.

The heart of Bell Let’s Talk is about normalizing these conversations and reminding us that mental health deserves our time, care, and attention just like our physical health does. It’s also a reminder of how important it is to check in yourself and with one another. A simple “How are you really doing?” can go a long way. Making space for honest conversations helps reduce stigma and reminds people that they do not have to carry everything alone.

Support does not always look like big conversations or perfect words. Sometimes it is taking a moment for yourself. Sometimes it is reaching out. And sometimes it is letting someone know you are there to listen.

If today feels heavy, know you are not alone. Take a moment, check in with yourself, and check in with someone else too.

January often comes with a lot of pressure to set big goals and make bold changes. If that feels exciting for you, embrace it. But if it feels overwhelming, you’re not alone.

This month at the studio, we’re choosing to focus on intentions rather than resolutions.

An intention is not about doing more or being better. It’s about getting clear on how you want to feel and allowing that to guide your choices. When your intention is clear and grounded, it becomes an anchor. It helps you return to what matters, especially on the days when motivation feels low or routines start to shift.

Instead of asking, “What should I accomplish this year?” you might ask:
How do I want to feel in my body?
What kind of energy do I want to bring into my days?
What would feel supportive and sustainable right now?

When you start with a firm intention, larger goals and new habits often become easier to maintain. Instead of relying on willpower, you have a reason behind your choices. You move not because you “should,” but because it aligns with how you want to feel. Over time, those small, intention-led choices naturally build consistency.

Your intention does not need to be big or perfectly worded. It can be as simple as moving with more ease, creating space to rest, or finding more balance. There is no timeline and no right way to do this.

As you move through January, let your intention be something you come back to, not something you have to achieve.

What’s one word or feeling that you’re carrying into this year?
