SUMMARY:
Tsuu Tina/Stoney Corrections Society is seeking to fill a Probation Officer position. As a Probation Officer, you will administer all community programs for justice involved Adults and Youth. The Probation Officer provides information to the court to facilitate the sentencing process. The Probation Officer must be able to develop professional, safe, compassionate relationships with all their clients, work collaboratively with community and justice partners and have strong communication skills. The Probation Officer is a representative of Correctional Services in the three Indigenous communities, and acts as a change agent while working to reduce recidivism.
The successful candidate will work in the Indigenous communities of GAHNHA (EDEN VALLEY), TSUU T’INA, & MINITHNI (MORLEY).

Job Summary:
The Stoney Nakoda Range Patrol is a component of the Stoney Tribal Administration’s Protective Services Department. The Range Patrol unit is established to patrol the perimeter of the Stoney Nakoda lands in the Mînî Thnî reserve areas and prevent non-Nation individuals from trespassing, poaching wild game or livestock or abusing the Nation’s lands. Range Patrol also supports the Tribal Council in the delivery of special events occurring on the Nation by supporting Protective Services, RCMP or other first responder agencies.

Remuneration
• Range Patrollers will be paid at the rate of $23.50 per hour. This wage includes compensation for expenses related to:
- Gas and oil required for the patrol vehicle
- All required vehicle maintenance
- Off-road vehicle insurance.

The position reports to the Supervisor/Manager of the Early Intervention and Prevention Program and forms part of SNCFS EI& P team. The intent of services will focus on Early Intervention/Prevention to reduce and/or prevent the need for child protection mandated services.

The Family Support Worker will assist individuals and families in their healing journeys by providing the required assistance, supports and educational information to influence change and re-establish self-identity by promoting healthy behaviors and lifestyle.
